EDITORIALPrezados leitores, Conforme anunciado pela Professora Silvania Sousa do Nascimento em mensagem aos colaboradores da Revista, passo a assumir, a partir deste número, a função de Editor da Ensaio Pesquisa em Educação em Ciências.Inicio, portanto, este editorial, agradecendo a enorme contribuição e dedicação da Professora Silvania, que está à frente da Revista desde 2003. Os progressos realizados pela Revista Ensaio nesses 9 anos sob sua liderança são notáveis: regularizamos a publicação, sem atrasos, dos números da revista; estabelecemos padrões claros para formatação de trabalhos publicados; passamos a contar com um projeto gráfico moderno e atraente; ampliamos e consolidamos a abrangência nacional e internacional de colaboradores da revista (autores e árbitros); consolidamos o reconhecimento acadêmico da comunidade de pesquisa em Educação em Ciências pela qualidade dos trabalhos publicados no periódico e sua abrangência temática; influenciamos o ensino por meio da divulgação de resultados de pesquisa e materiais para a formação inicial e continuada de professores.Agradeço, do mesmo modo, aos editores adjuntos, que assumiram de modo compartilhado a editoria da Revista em 2012, período de avanços no processo de arbitragem e internacionalização dessa publicação. Esse modelo de editores adjuntos, até então formado pelos Professores Rodrigo Drumond Vieira (UFF), Maclóvia Correia da Silva (UFTPR), Francisco Ângelo Coutinho (UFMG), Ana Luiza Quadros (UFMG), será mantido, porém, renovado, com o afastamento dos Professores Rodrigo Drumond Vieira e Maclóvia Correia da Silva de Belo Horizonte. A eles, em nome do CECIMIG e da Faculdade de Educação da UFMG, expresso o mais sincero agradecimento pelo empenho e dedicação ao Projeto da Revista. Para integrar o corpo de editores, passamos a contar com a experiência editorial, competência e liderança científica dos Professores Eduardo Fleury Mortimer e Silvania Sousa do Nascimento.Essa nova composição de editores da Ensaio configura, portanto, uma continuidade do projeto da Revista. Apesar do caminho já percorrido, os desafios que se colocam a este periódico são bastante expressivos: consolidar a internacionalização e a participação de pesquisadores e grupos de pesquisa de todas as regiões do país; ingressar nos sistemas nacionais e internacionais de periódicos científicos (Scielo, Scopus e outros); avançar no reconhecimento pelo Qualis Periódicos da CAPES nas áreas temáticas do ensino de Ciências e da Educação; agilizar o sistema
A Ensaio Pesquisa em Educação em Ciências, assim como outros periódicos que compõem a rede de publicações indexadas na Coleção SciELO Brasil, vem discutindo ações editoriais que contribuam para maiores visibilidade, acessibilidade, qualidade e credibilidade das pesquisas aqui publicadas. Uma das questões que se colocam nesta rede é a demanda por internacionalização da pesquisa, tema polêmico que tem merecido nossa atenção.De um lado, não podemos ser ingênuos em não considerar o poder financeiro e simbólico de grandes grupos editoriais que, em nível internacional, comercializam os produtos da atividade acadêmica e os distribuem como mercadoria (ver, a esse respeito, o editorial da Educação & Sociedade, jan.-mar. 2015). De outro, a qualidade das pesquisas realizadas pelos grupos instalados em instituições nacionais se alimenta, em grande medida, da interlocução que se estabelece com as pesquisas que se realizam no cenário internacional. Tal interlocução ocorre não apenas no acesso ao que se publica de melhor em educação em ciências em todo o mundo, mas, ainda, como resultado de parcerias e colaborações efetivas entre grupos de pesquisa nacionais e estrangeiros. Vários pesquisadores brasileiros têm tido a oportunidade de fortalecer suas linhas de pesquisa em diálogo com pesquisadores estrangeiros de renome em programas de pós-doutorado ou doutorado sanduíche no exterior. Nos encontros científicos realizados no país, contamos sempre com convidados estrangeiros; além disso, a participação de pesquisadores brasileiros em eventos científicos no exterior, muitas vezes, como convidados de destaque, tem sido crescente e muito qualificada.Parece-nos natural, portanto, que os periódicos científicos nacionais publiquem e deem visibilidade a essa produção qualificada, sem perderem de vista a relevân-cia da pesquisa nos contextos, diversos e complexos, da educação brasileira.Outro ponto que merece destaque é a interlocução privilegiada com pesquisadores latino-americanos e com colegas de Portugal e da Espanha, países que, por proximidade linguística e cultural, têm alimentado boa relação com a pesquisa em educação em ciências no Brasil. Entendemos que temos muito a oferecer nesses intercâm-bios e muito a aprender com tal aproximação.Uma barreira para aumentar a visibilidade de nossa pesquisa no cenário internacional é, sem dúvida alguma, a linguística. Por essa razão, a Ensaio Pesquisa em Educação em Ciências tem adotado dois procedimentos com vistas a atenuar esse problema. O primeiro consiste em publicar pesquisas em outros idiomas, preferencialmente em inglês ou espanhol. Entendemos que podemos atrair bons artigos de colegas estrangeiros e, ainda, de colegas brasileiros em coautoria com pesquisadores de instituições no exterior. O segundo procedimento adotado pela Ensaio Pesquisa em Educação em Ciências foi a inserção, a partir do volume 17, de resumos de todos os artigos em três idiomas: português, espanhol e inglês.
