Вплив донора сірководню NaHS на функціональний стан дихального ланцюга мітохондрій серця щурів У дослідах на мітохондріях, ізольованих із тканин серця дорослих щурів, досліджували вплив донора сірководню NaHS на стан дихального ланцюга. Виявлено, що у концентраціях 10 -9 -10 -6 моль/л він спричиняв дозозалежне зменшення швидкості споживання кисню за наявності сукцинату натрію та AДФ (стан 3 за Чансом), а також за умов відсутності останнього (стан 4). Водночас зменшення швидкості споживання кисню за концентрації NaHS 10 -9 та 10 -8 моль/л супроводжувалося підвищенням спряженості процесів окиснення та фосфорилювання, про що свідчить збільшення дихального контролю; ефективність окисного фосфорилювання (АДФ/О) при цьому не змінювалась. Отримані результати говорять про захисний вплив донора сірководню на функціональний стан мітохондрій. Для з'ясування інших механізмів протекторної дії H 2 S також досліджували дію його донора на набухання мітохондрій. Встановлена концентраційна залежність між впливом NaHS (10 -12-10 -4 моль/л) і рівнем набухання мітохондрій серця щурів. Показано, що вони помірно набухали за умов дії донора сірководню у межах концентрацій 10 -12 -10 -8 моль/л при концентрації Са 2+ 1 нмоль/мг білка. При дії NaHS у концентрації 10 -9 моль/л спостерігали набухання мітохондрій, максимальна зміна рівня якого становила 11 %. Блокатор мітохондріальних АТФ-залежних калієвих каналів (К ATФ -каналів) 5-гідроксидеканоат (10 -4 моль/л) частково зменшував набухання мітохондрій за наявності NaHS (10 -9 моль/л), що може свідчити про активацію донором H 2 S К АТФ -каналів. Зроблено висновок щодо можливого залучення К ATФ -каналів до механізмів дії сірководню на мітохондріальні функції.
