De nombreuses enquêtes statistiques montrent que le fait de grandir au sein d'une famille nombreuse a un effet négatif sur les devenirs scolaires. Une enquête par entretiens auprès d'une vingtaine de ces familles permet de mettre en évidence comment la fratrie peut, au contraire, devenir une ressource, en particulier dans les familles les plus démunies en capitaux culturels. L'article propose ainsi d'analyser les modalités et les effets de l'accompagnement scolaire et culturel assuré par des aînés de familles nombreuses. S'il est possible d'observer, sous certaines conditions, des effets scolaires bénéfiques pour les cadets, on peut noter également des effets « en retour » de cette intervention fraternelle sur la scolarité des aînés eux-mêmes et sur les pratiques éducatives des parents. Résumé L’article s’appuie sur les résultats d’une enquête sociologique menée auprès de familles nombreuses, dont une dizaine appartient aux milieux populaires. Il propose un éclairage sur les processus qui sous-tendent la corrélation statistique entre taille de la fratrie et réussite scolaire, en s’intéressant plus particulièrement aux conditions matérielles d’existence. Il met en lumière la manière dont elles sont susceptibles d’être altérées par la taille de la famille et leurs liens avec les parcours scolaires des enfants.
International audienceSi les acteurs traditionnels de l’univers littéraire (éditeurs, écrivains, libraires, organisateurs de manifestations littéraires) accordent encore peu de pouvoir de prescription et de reconnaissance des livres aux blogs de lecteurs, ils les intègrent de plus en plus dans leurs stratégies de promotion et ils reconnaissent à certains blogueurs un haut niveau d’expertise sur des secteurs éditoriaux particuliers. Les blogs de lecteurs ne peuvent donc être compris seulement en rapport avec l’univers spécifique qu’est la « blogosphère ». L’objectif de cet article est ainsi de s’intéresser aux rapports des blogueurs aux enjeux de l’univers littéraire dans son ensemble. À partir d’une analyse approfondie de quatre blogs de lecteurs très différents (entretiens avec leurs responsables et analyse du contenu de leur blog), l’article met au jour les compétences variées de ces critiques littéraires « amateur » et prend la mesure de leurs ambitions à jouer un rôle dans la prescription et la reconnaissance des livres de littérature
