Der Einsatz von erneuerbaren Energien im Mobilitätssektor ist mit hohen Erwartungen verknüpft. Im vorgestellten Dissertationsprojekt werden Strom, SNG (Substitute Natural Gas, Ersatz für Erdgas) und Fischer-Tropsch(FT)-Kraftstoff aus Biomasse als Sekundärenergieträger zum Antrieb eines Pkw verglichen. Aufbauend auf laufenden und abgeschlossenen Projekten des ITAS zum Thema Bioenergie werden die Prozessketten vom Anbau der Biomasse bis zum Antrieb des Pkw (des Rads) untersucht (die sog. "well-to-wheel-Analyse", WTW) 1 und zusätzlich Antriebskonzepten gegenübergestellt, die fossile Primärenergieträger einsetzen. Der Schwerpunkt der systemanalytischen Untersuchung liegt beim Einsatz der biogenen, regenerativen Energieträger im Pkw. Mit diesem Vorhaben soll ein Beitrag zur Beantwortung der Frage geleistet werden, über welchen Sekundärenergieträger und welches Antriebskonzept der Einsatz von Biomasse am sinnvollsten für die Mobilität im Pkw-Bereich umgesetzt werden kann.
