Con el aumento de la población de personas mayores en las últimas décadas, resulta pertinente suponer que aumentarán igualmente sus necesidades emocionales, físicas y económicas, por lo que es importante ahondar más en los aspectos psicológicos del envejecimiento y en las vivencias de mayor significado en esa etapa. Por lo anterior, los objetivos de este estudio fueron los de conocer en un grupo de adultos mayores sus pérdidas más importantes en cada una de las etapas del desarrollo, y analizar las posibles diferencias de género en la percepción de dichas pérdidas. Para ello, se realizó una investigación cualitativa con veintiséis participantes, a quienes se hicieron entrevistas semiestructuradas. Se hizo un análisis de contenido de las mismas, teniendo como categorías principales las pérdidas humanas, de salud, del trabajo, materiales o de habilidades. Los resultados mostraron que para los adultos mayores las pérdidas más dolorosas a lo largo de su vida fueron el fallecimiento de padres, hijos y parejas, hallándose claras diferencias respecto al género. En conclusión, puede decirse que las pérdidas humanas tuvieron un mayor impacto que las de otro tipo, y que especialmente la muerte de un hijo resulta ser uno de los duelos más complicados.
El objetivo de la siguiente investigación fue conocer si existen diferencias en los puntajes con respecto a los indicadores de depresión, hostilidad, sensibilidad interpersonal, somatización y ansiedad entre mujeres con pareja migrante que habitan en varias cabeceras municipales del estado de Zacatecas. Para ello se trabajó con una muestra total de 146 mujeres, habitantes de las cabeceras municipales de: Jerez, Francisco R. Murguía, Monte Escobedo, General Pánfilo Natera, Pinos y Villa Hidalgo. Todas ellas con pareja migrante en EE.UU. Se les aplicó la forma abreviada del cuestionario Symptom Assessment-45 Questionnaire (SA-45) (Sandín, Valiente, Chorot, Santed y Lostao, 1997), el cual es un instrumento de autoinforme de síntomas psicopatológicos. En la presente investigación se aplicaron las siguientes subescalas: depresión, hostilidad, sensibilidad interpersonal, somatización y ansiedad. Se aplicó una prueba no paramétrica y se obtuvieron diferencias estadísticamente significativas en la subescala de ansiedad, siendo las mujeres de la cabecera municipal General Pánfilo Natera quienes presentan un rango promedio más alto (84.89) y por lo tanto mayores niveles de ansiedad.
La Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) reconoce que la migración se ha convertido en un problema de salud pública; al mismo tiempo, se ha identificado el grado de vulnerabilidad de las mujeres que radican en los puntos de origen. Por tal motivo, el objetivo de esta investigación fue conocer la prevalencia de los indicadores de salud mental en mujeres de zonas migratorias (Zacatecas), con pareja migrante o no, y comprobar el efecto protector de tener una pareja no inmigrante. Para ello, se aplicó el cuestionario “Perfil epidemiológico de la mujer con pareja migrante en zona tradicional y emergente de alta incidencia migratoria en el estado de Zacatecas”. Se utilizó la categoría de indicadores de salud mental, es decir, una escala tipo Likert, con un alpha de Cronbach de 0.897, una validez de 98.3%, una varianza de 118.636 y una desviación estándar de 10.89201 a una muestra de 279 mujeres de los municipios de Jerez y Juan Aldama; de la población mencionada 144 fueron mujeres con pareja no migrante y 135 mujeres con pareja migrante. A través de los análisis estadísticos de prueba de hipótesis, de independencia, intervalos de confianza, estadísticas de contraste, valor de significancia y r para ambos grupos de mujeres, se encontró que las mujeres con pareja migrante presentan mayor prevalencia en los indicadores de hostilidad y ansiedad, además, el efecto protector de tener una pareja no inmigrante influye en los indicadores de depresión, sensibilidad interpersonal y somatización.
El objetivo de la presente investigación fue describir la experiencia de hombres y mujeres adolescentes de 15 a 18 años, que habitan en el estado de Zacatecas, respecto a la demostración de afecto paterno y materno. Para ello se realizó un muestreo por cuotas, por nivel escolar de secundaria y bachillerato y género; se obtuvo una muestra total de 80 adolescentes, a los cuales se les pidió que contestaran dos preguntas: ¿Qué hace tu mamá para demostrarte afecto? y ¿qué hace tu papá para demostrarte afecto? Las respuestas fueron sometidas a un análisis de contenido. Se encontró que para los varones, las categorías más comunes de afecto materno, fueron: expresión física de afecto, expresión verbal de afecto, cuidados y protección y expresión material de afecto. Mientras que para el afecto paterno fueron: expresión material de afecto, pasar tiempo con ellos y expresión física de afecto. Por su parte, para las adolescentes, las categorías más comunes de afecto materno, fueron: expresión física de afecto, expresión verbal de afecto y cuidados y protección. Mientras que las de afecto paterno, fueron: expresión física de afecto, expresión verbal de afecto y no demuestra su afecto.
El siguiente trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo identificar los motivos de consulta psicológica más frecuentes por los grupos etarios, las diferencias genéricas en cuanto a los motivos de consulta y hacer un perfil sociodemográfico de la población. Para lo que se llevó a cabo una investigación cuantitativa de tipo descriptiva y no experimental en la Unidad de Especialidades Médicas Psiquiátricas-Centro Integral de Salud Mental (Uneme-cisame), Con una población conformada por 885 participantes de entre 3 y 91 años de edad, de los cuales se extrajeron las variables sociodemográficas y se llevó a cabo un análisis estadístico-descriptivo.
