The authors prove that the needs of the enterprise, the existing technological level and qualified users are the main prerequisites for the introduction of information technology in enterprises. They contribute to the formation of an information system, information space, management efficiency and capacity development. On the basis of the study of the evolution of information systems, the principles of their formation are singled out. Conclusions.
