Rhodium(III) extraction from hydrochloric solutions using bis-acylated triethylenetetramine has been studied. Optimal conditions for rhodium(III) recovery have been determined. It was found that, at a contact time to 5 min, the extraction occurred by an ion-association mechanism. At a contact time longer than 5 min, rhodium(III) was extracted by a mixed mechanism with the insertion of an extractant into the inner coordination sphere of the rhodium(III) ion. The composition of the extracted compound was determined using electronic, IR spectroscopy and functional analysis, and the structure of this compound was proposed.
The paper focuses on the issue of using non-standard elements namely educational games provided with the help of an interactive whiteboard at English lessons with non-linguistic students. The purpose of our research is to verify the opportunities of educational games based on using an interactive whiteboard for effective English teaching to non-linguistic students for effective improving English proficiency. Different methods such as observation, questionnaires, discussions and pedagogical experiment were used to study the influence of using educational games provided with an interactive whiteboard in English classes to students’ motivation to learn English and, as a result, to the level of students’ success in the English language. The statistical methods were used as well to measure the results of the pedagogical experiment. The result contrast of the preliminary and final tests confirmed statistically the efficiency of the authors’ technique of using educational games provided with an interactive whiteboard at professional English lessons. The specially developed educational games provided with the help of an interactive whiteboard are presented as examples of non-standard elements in English classes with law students and can be used by any English teachers. The results of the experiment proved statistically effectiveness of the authors’ technique of using non-standard elements for teaching professional English.
The relevance of the study is due to the fact the high concentration of copper and zinc ions in waste from electroplating industries and their different migration in the environment make these metals sensitive indicators of industrial pollution. The aim of this work is to study the vertical migration of copper and zinc ions from model sulfate copper‐zinc sludge into the horizons of four soil samples. Technogenic pollution with copper and zinc in the “sludge–soil” system is explained by the chemical composition of galvanic sludge, the properties of metals included in it, and the physicochemical properties of soils. An increase in the content of Cu2+ and Zn2+ with depth is recorded in all layers of the studied soils after pollution with maximum accumulation in the upper layer. The index of the pollution concentration of Zn2+ is 8–31 times higher than that of Cu2+. The fixation of Cu2+ and Zn2+ in the upper soil layer and low migration to the lower layers is facilitated by a high sum of exchangeable cations up to 12.8. The values of the factor of element contamination indicate a high risk of contamination of the upper horizons of the studied soils.
The article deals with the issues of professional development of a foreign language teacher and identifies its main features. It is stated that modern world demands new approaches to the organization and improvement of the teaching process of learning a foreign language. It is determined that improving the quality of teaching depends on many factors. It is stated that the constant professional development of teachers is characterized by a variety of forms, methods, approaches. It is noted that new technologies created conditions for fundamental changes in teaching methods, changed the conditions of professional activity of a teacher, transformed his/her role and functions, and also required mastering a range of new skills. The qualification characteristic of a teacher is formulated as an integral part of his/her professional culture, which is aimed at improvement and self-development. It is emphasized on the importance and necessity of increasing the effectiveness of acquiring knowledge and practical skills in the institutes of advanced training and improvement. Keywords: teacher, professional development, foreign language, students, innovative pedagogical technologies
On the basis of the conducted research, it was established that the teaching of foreign languages and its success are determined by the level of communicative competence of teachers. Mastering communication as a linguistic circuit of a communicative approach allows you to avoid conflicts, improve your art of communicative behavior, correctly express your thoughts, defend your position, which contributes to social success, maximum self-realization. It is noted that a high level of social and intercultural mobility encourages people to communicate more often. Communication is one of the necessary and important conditions for the development and formation of society and any individual activity. Often "communication" is equated with "verbal interaction", but these concepts differ from each other. Attention is drawn to the fact that in the process of pedagogical activity, teachers of foreign languages should take into account various aspects of communication, its features, but in order to become a master of foreign language communication, it is necessary to have qualities that are important for interpersonal relations. The list of qualities that should be a kind of reference point for teachers in communication is considered: what to strive for, what traits to educate, cultivate not only in oneself, but also in students. It was determined that the formation of highly qualified teachers of foreign languages is possible under the conditions of formed interpersonal communication, which depends on individual characteristics, pedagogical experience, professional competence, which involves a combination of knowledge from the methodology of teaching foreign languages, linguistics, sociology, psychology, cultural studies, etc. In other words, each teacher is characterized by his own communication, which is unique and unrepeatable. Several functions performed by communication in today's information-rich society are noted. The views of scientists on the problem of communication were analyzed and conclusions were drawn.
The article reveals the features of professional improvement of foreign language communicative competence of foreign language teachers in the European Union, which is the result of the development of European integration, globalization and information processes. Emphasis is placed on the importance of professional development of teachers and the need for changes related to the development of new goals in teaching foreign languages with the new up-to-date innovative teaching aids. It is determined that foreign language teachers of European countries are constantly looking for and actively apply in practice innovative methods, modern information technologies, as well as distance learning in language teaching. It is noted that an essential feature of modern innovation processes in the field of education and upbringing is their technologicalization – strict compliance with the content and sequence of stages of the implementation of innovations. Among all new technical aids for foreign language teaching, the computer is an essential component of the educational process, which has one of the most significant influences on the course of teaching. New up-to-date approaches to the formation of foreign language communicative competence in the foreign language teaching put forward new requirements for the professionalism of the teacher, his/her qualifications. It is determined that the improvement of foreign language competence of the foreign language teacher is influenced by the properties of his/her personality, general and professional competence, which is provided by a combination of knowledge of didactics, linguistics, methods of teaching foreign languages, cultural studies and creativity, professional mobility, continuous self-development. Foreign language teachers of the European Union improve their professionalism through various forms of education. The views of scientists on the research problem are characterized. Conclusions and prospects for the use of further development of the study are made.

The article examines the main questions about language: essence, nature, formation, structure, mutual connection of language and thinking, relation between language and speech. It is noted that in the process of speech, a person communicates with the help of language, as the most perfect means of communication, through which the world is known, that language is a mirror of national culture, therefore its national and cultural semantics is so important, which reflects the characteristic features of the nation, its folklore, personalities of everyday life, customs and history. It was determined that during the interaction of language and speech, a constant process of appearance and formation of phraseological units is formed, which diversify, enrich speech and are a key means of further knowledge of the language, as well as important in the development of its systematic and structural organization. It is noted that the lexical-semantic system is the most mobile among all language levels. The analysis of a significant amount of scientific material on the research problem made it possible to characterize the views of scientists who are trying to identify the relations between speech categories, language elements, as well as how the systematic and structural organization of the language provides it with reproducibility, stability, the ability for constant development and universalism. The universality of language enables a person to use it as a means of communication in all communication situations, including with other cultures. The universality of language directly enables both internal and intercultural communication. It was determined that language is much more complex than the systems offered by linguists and is the most complex multidimensional entity that is formed in the human mind as a result of acquiring social experience.
