High-quality Y-Ba-Cu-O films on non-buffered sapphire substrates was obtained. Microwave devices fabricated from films on non-buffered sapphire have included an K-Band modified three-pole Cheby3chev filter having an insertion loss of 1,2 dB at 60 K. The HTS filter was designed to be a 5 % bandwidth. Our filters out perform similar copper microstrip filters, indicating that practical levels of HTS performance have been achieved.
