Die digitale Erfassung von Gebäuden und Objekten gehört inzwischen ebenso zum Standard einer denkmalgerechten Grundlagenermittlung wie die dauerhafte Überwachung eines Gebäudezustands mit intelligenten Sensorsystemen. Ziel ist die digitale Synthese aller für das Objekt relevanten Daten. Als eine Antwort auf diese Weiterentwicklung der Denkmalpflege ist der kooperative Masterstudiengang M.Sc. Digitale Denkmaltechnologien in enger Zusammenarbeit zwischen der Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg und der HAW Coburg entstanden. Dieser Studiengang bietet einen Überblick über die Leistungsfähigkeit und Grenzen derzeitiger und in Entwicklung befindlicher Technologien und widmet sich der zukunftsweisenden Ausbildung von Akteuren der Integration von digitalen Technologien in der Denkmalpflege.
