The effective performance of any company is determined by the degree of motivation of its staff. In a pandemic, it is important to explore changes in the values and motivational profiles of staff, especially young people. The aim of the paper is to study the internal motives of millennials and Generation Z, to identify modern motivational tools, taking into account the challenges of an unstable global ecosystem. To assess the changes in the motives for work, a questionnaire was used. The survey was conducted (at the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021) among young people in Kyiv (Ukraine) aged 17-22 (287 people participated), who had previous work experience. All results were proven to be valid. The results of the study showed that changes in the motivational profile of millennials and Generation Z under the influence of restrictive measures due to the pandemic occurred in the range of values of awareness of individuality: motives for maintaining health, balancing life, personal and professional growth came out to be more relevant. Such changes indicate positive opportunities for young people due to high adaptability to changing and unstable conditions, and, on the other hand, they bring challenges for companies – the loss of personnel. The most optimal models will be career-oriented and adaptive with elements of well-being management to motivate millennials and Generation Z.
Sustainable education systems in tertiary institutions aim to reduce the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The world is constantly changing, but the desire of a man and country for security remains unchanged, which certainly includes economic and social components. In emergencies, the challenges of social security become even more urgent, because the leveling of risks will contribute to the development and quality of human existence, the country, and if it is impossible to overcome the negative consequences in this area will delay the future. Therefore, the aim of the investigation is to analyze the socio-economic determinants that determine social security in today's global environment. Based on the author's methodology for assessing the level of social security, markers and indicators of social security are analyzed by groups: labor market, material well-being, quality of social and labor relations, identified environmental component as part of human security. The results of the investigation show the increase in risks in the labor market due to reduced employment opportunities, as evidenced by statistics on unemployment and the workload per vacancy. The instability of the labor market ecosystem, which has emerged from the covid-19 epidemic and is now exacerbated by hostilities, demonstrates the widening of labor market imbalances. As a result, the risks of social security in the group of material well-being increase. In particular, there is a growing trend of poor people, increasing opportunities for people to develop and maintain good health. Unfortunately, there are simultaneous processes of increasing pressure on the state to ensure sufficient level of social guarantees. Conditionally stable are the indicators of social security in the group of quality of social and labor relations, where there is satisfactory level of trust in social dialogue, adapted and selected the most effective methods of communication and introduced mixed regulations for work in enterprises. The assessment of the environmental component of human social security demonstrate the lack of efforts to ensure the livelihood of the population. Thus, in general, the new dimension of social security in the global environment involves the socio-economic aspects of human life, which are certainly related to the development of human capital and compared with the goals (their achievement) to preserve labor potential.
Now the world has felt the effects of events (pandemic, digitalization, etc.), which provoked a change in the socio-economic ecosystem, which the authors propose to understand as a set of objects and subjects, and grouped according to certain interests, including on professional interests related to the definition of priorities and directions of adaptation of society and the state to the existing environment, which includes rules, laws, moral and ethical norms, and thus forms a single whole with them. Realizing the irreversibility of these events and their consequences, it becomes obvious that the transformation of national ecosystems is accelerating, especially under the influence of the ecological program. Thus, the process of adaptation to the new ecosystem of state development and ensuring its sustainability actualizes the study of determinants of socio-economic nature. The author’s research, based on his own methodology, proves that the key factors in ensuring the sustainability of this ecosystem are compliance with high standards of quality of life, maintaining partnerships and public trust in various institutions, taking into account various aspects of security (individual to collective), assessment of the present and forecasting the future.
