Chloris polydactyla SEED GERMINATION IN DIFFERENT TEMPERATURES AND LIGHT CONDITIONS SUMMARY:The experiment was conducted at the experimental field of the FAFRAM -Doctor Francisco MaedaCollege, in Ituverava (SP), to evaluate the germination rate (IVG) and the white grass seed germination (Chloris polydactyla) at different temperatures and light conditions. Seeds were collected from edges of stands of producing areas of sugarcane Orlândia the region -SP, panicles being taken from four different points, making four lots. The four batches received four treatments, in conducting the germination, which were combinations of light conditions (with partial or dark photoperiod of 12 hours) under constant temperature of 30°C and alternating 20-30°C. The experimental design was used in randomized block design (RBD) in factorial 2 x 2 (two light conditions x two temperature conditions). According to the present results, it can be concluded that white grass germination rate presents a more favorable full germination and under light and temperature resulted in similar germination performance.
