The article analyzes instruments and systems for measuring the muzzle (initial) velocity of artillery and small arms ammunition of different calibers. Local and foreign devices that are mounted on weapons or which are located at a distance are given. Most of the devices considered in this article can work autonomously, which is an advantage when using them at the landfill. An important component of ensuring the defense capability of the State is the high level of Armed Forces of Ukraine equipment with new high-precision weapons and military equipment and the modernization of existing weapons, which involves verification of weapons samples for compliance with the declared characteristics of the manufacturer (supplier). The effectiveness of the tests depends on the accuracy and quality of the instruments(systems) which are used to measure the characteristics of the weapons. The initial speed of the ball (shell, mines, etc.) is one of the main characteristics of the weapon’s combat properties. It is determined experimentally and by additional calculations. The SL-520 series systems are versatile and precise instruments that allow the effective testing of weapons samples at training grounds. The advantages of these systems are: range of possible measurement speeds, high measurement accuracy, the possibility of measuring the muzzle velocity of all types of artillery and small-arms ammunition of different calibers, self-calibration option for the whole life cycle, integrated GPS time synchronization, the possibility of complex application of typical radars and the duration of autonomous operation.
The article offers recommendations for the project of General requirements for the video registration system for determining the movement of weapons and military equipment test facilities. The analysis of scientific and technical literature and other open sources of information allows us to draw the following conclusion that in the developed countries of the world active scientific work is constantly being conducted to find new technologies, methods, methods and means to improve the quality of testing. Many different scientific studies are related to the need for video recording of test processes (high-speed, thermal, and others). Therefore, during the tests, a variety of video equipment is used, which differs in the principle of operation and technical characteristics. In today's conditions, video surveillance is implemented at all stages of testing weapons and military equipment. The capabilities and technical characteristics of existing modern video equipment require careful study. Based on the analysis and study of video recording capabilities, recommendations were developed for the project of General requirements for the video recording system for determining the movement of weapons and military equipment test objects during the testing of weapons and military equipment delivered to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
For some time past the careful attention of researches requires the issues of analyzing qualities of test objects and compliance actually received tactical and technical characteristics with specified operational requirements, it is necessary to get the parameters of high-precision trajectory measurements that will enable comparison (deviation) of the real trajectory from the reference trajectory (pattern trajectory); evaluate the operating benefit of the test objects; identify the causes of nonconformities of tactical and technical characteristics to requirements, which can be detected. Today for measuring the trajectory parameters of the test objects using equipment, which operates on different physical principles. It refers also to the electro-optics equipment, in which implemented process of target tracking for the purpose of obtaining on a real time basis initial information, further processing which will allow to calculate highly precise trajectory parameters of test objects. Therefore, the purpose of the article was a justification for composition and tactical and technical characteristics of prospective mobile optoelectronic complex of trajectory measurements. On the basis of the modern analysis of the objects of ground tests, their main characteristics, as well as the tactical and technical characteristics of modern mobile optoelectronic complex of trajectory measurements of domestic and foreign production and taking into account the “General requirements for mobile optoelectronic station of externally - trajectory measurements” from 01 October 2017, the project of composition and the tactical and technical characteristics prospective mobile optoelectronic complex of trajectory measurements was justified. Research design - the theory of probability, system analysis and synthesis of organizational-technical systems, theory efficiency and optimization, simulation of complex technical systems. The main results, obtained in the work: - composition and the tactical and technical characteristics prospective mobile optoelectronic complex of trajectory measurements were justified; - general requirements to the mobile optoelectronic complex of trajectory measurements were developed; The practical importance lies in the possibility of creating mobile optoelectronic complex of trajectory measurements of domestic production to conduct testing of new and modernized specimens of weapons and military equipment. The study is novel in that it: general requirements to the mobile optoelectronic complex of trajectory measurements were developed; the project of terms of reference for the creation of a mobile optoelectronic complex of trajectory measurements of domestic production was worked out to provide testing of specimens of weapons and military equipment.
Currently, during the period of active equipping and provision of the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with new and modernized samples of armament and military equipment, there is an urgent need to conduct photo- video registration of the process during the testing of experimental samples with the help of photo and video equipment (cameras, video cameras, thermal imagers, etc.). The main problematic issue is that most of the systems and complexes of photo-video registration of information, which are operated in research laboratories of information and measurement systems of the Armed Forces and industrial enterprises of Ukraine, are outdated and have low technical characteristics. One of the possible ways to solve this issue is the analysis of physical processes that are subject to registration during tests, in order to determine the technical characteristics of photos and video equipment for their purchase for the operation of video surveillance test laboratories. The purpose of the research was to study the technical characteristics of modern photo and video equipment and the possibility of its use in testing weapons and military equipment for various functional purposes, primarily ground. This article analyzes the requirements for modern photo and video equipment, its technical characteristics and principles of operation. Domestic and foreign products were subject to analysis. The study of domestic and foreign experience in the use of such equipment shows that special attention should be paid to high-speed and television photo and video cameras when drawing up general requirements as they are the most complex in terms of construction. Thus, in order to improve the quality of tests of new and modernized samples of armament and military equipment, the technical characteristics of modern photo and video equipment and the possibility of their use during tests were investigated. The use of promising samples of on-board photo and video equipment during tests of armament and military equipment of the ground forces is possible with a wide range of applications.
The intensive development of information and control technologies, as well as their integration into a single information space, leads to an increase in the role of such technologies in the processes of control of troops (forces) and weapons, including high-precision ones. At the same time, the electronic material base of the information infrastructure created within the concept of network-centric warfare is potentially vulnerable to electronic warfare. In this article, the authors analyze the approaches to the impact of electronic warfare on network-centric control systems. In the course of the study, the authors solved the following interrelated tasks: identified information restrictions on the implementation of the network-centric war concept; the prospects for the development of electronic warfare systems that are focused on disruption of the operation of network-centric systems of military control and the prospective scientific and methodological approaches to substantiate the methods of radio-electronic impact on network-centric control systems. In the course of this research, the authors used the basic principles of electronic warfare theory, signal theory, communication theory, queuing systems and classical methods of scientific cognition – analysis and synthesis. According to the results of the study, the following conclusions can be drawn: perspective directions for the development of radio-electronic impact, oriented on the transport layer of communication networks, can be implemented as complexes of territorially distributed means of electronic control, implementing fundamentally new methods of suppression, and special software and bookmarks software (viruses) that are introduced into the telecommunications network equipment. It should be noted that the use of all the above radio-electronic effects is advisable only against packet networks with advanced topology. The use of such impacts against networks with tree topology is pointless since there is a possibility of attaining the suppression effect by“classical” channel suppression.
