The article explores educational tourism and identifies its role in learning foreign languages. The authors look into the language policy of universities through the academic mobility of students and teachers. Based on the research subject, the authors analyse relevant literature and use the empiric observation method and questionnaire of educational tourists. They also consider foreign language studying options at their native universities and compare them with the ways of studying at other universities in the context of educational tourism. The research shows the most popular forms of educational tourism for students studying foreign languages. It allows connecting travel experience and students' motivation to study. The paper will be helpful for researchers who try to optimise the educational process of learning languages by applying educational tourism and for people interested in improving their language skills and overcoming the language barrier.
The article deals with organizational and economic problems of land management and land use in modern economic conditions. Qualitative and quantitative changes in the land Fund under the conditions of formation of a multi-layered economy are studied on the example of the Tver region. The most significant problems of land management at the state and regional level in the context of sustainable land use development are identified and specified, and directions for their solution are proposed.
The article deals with the problem of using digital technologies in visualization and management of information about a municipality. Methods and technology for creating geoinformation cartographic support for the investment potential of a Municipality are presented. The advantages of using geoinformation cartographic material in data visualization and management are substantiated.
Nowadays the frequency of digital technologies use in economy is increasing. It is vital to employ innovative approaches to increase the efficiency of management and get new possibilities for permanent search and access to the relevant, full and reliable information about the object of management in complex socio-ecologic economic systems. This is of utmost importance, when we speak about land resources management system. That is why the state and corporate entities have to create up to date databases and employ modern digital technologies to process local geospatial information on land resources that is contained in the national (regional) geo information systems. The aim of the study is to identify the possibility of use and evaluation of land resources data set and all the relevant information that is kept in corresponding geo information system (-s) in order to boost land use efficiency. The authors of this article have obtained the following results and conclusions that have scientific novelty: 1. The authors of this article have proved the possibility to boost land use efficiency by means of digital technologies and geo information systems. They should act as a tool for obtaining, processing, interpretation and visualization of geospatial data, related to land resources. 2. The authors have elaborated a pattern for common information space that contains land resources data and consists of certain subsystems and levels.
The trend towards globalization of the world economy is currently increasing. Therefore, corporate entities seek to expand their economic power and influence. It spurs them to constantly look for ways to improve the efficiency of their activities, both in the domestic and foreign markets. These circumstances force corporate structures to accelerate the pace of their development. In this regard, they introduce innovations, reduce costs, use available resources more efficiently, as well as optimize the selection of missing ones, including land resources. Comprehensive and up-to-date information on the existing assets and liabilities contained in the geographic information system(s) and assessment of the efficiency of their use can help companies expand their economic possibilities. The creation of relevant databases and their interpretation become possible with the use of modern geoinformation technologies for creating and processing localized geospatial information about land plots and everything closely related to them. The purpose of the study is to identify the possibility of using and assessing the total data on land resources and everything related to them. These data are stored in the relevant geoinformation system(s) to increase the efficiency of controlling in the framework of the corporate management system. The main scientific results and conclusions obtained by the authors in the course of this study are as follows: The possibility of improving the efficiency of controlling through the use of geoinformation support and geoinformation systems as a source of receiving, processing, interpreting, and visualizing geospatial data on corporate and other land and property resources has been proved. The methodology for assessing the efficiency of land use based on the author’s cube model and the suggested rating criteria has been proposed.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
