The creation of an urban environment designed taking into account the needs of people with disabilities is currently one of the priority areas of state, social and urban planning policy, the practical results of which are aimed at ensuring equal opportunities with other citizens in various fields of work, life, and leisure. The objective is to identify the features of greening for blind and visually impaired people in the conditions of the city of Vladivostok. To achieve the goal, it is necessary to solve the following problems: to determine the assortment of ornamental plants and to identify compositional techniques of landscape design that ensure the possible use of non-visual receptors (auditory, olfactory, tactile, etc.) by blind people, and also, enhance the impact on the visual perception of the visually impaired when they orient in the environment. As a result of the study, the assortments of ornamental plants and compositional methods of greening for the conditions of the city of Vladivostok were identified, which facilitate the orientation of blind and visually impaired people in an urban environment and allow the formation of an accessible environment for people with visual impairments.
The paper discusses the features of the formation of ecotourism infrastructure in specially protected natural areas (PAs) of the Primorsky Krai. The need for the research is due to the lack of basic strategies for the development of Primorsky Krai protected areas, the lack of developed route programs for various categories of visitors and weak infrastructure of ecological routes at protected territories of the Primorsky Krai. Research method: a comparative analysis of the landscape structure of protected areas in the Primorsky Krai and the world. As a result of the study, the location and boundaries of nature reserves, recreational territories, economic zones in each of the functional zoning schemes of the two protected territories “Leopard Land” and “Call of the Tiger” were identified and depicted. Nodal points of the considered landscapes located in tourist centers and nearby villages are highlighted. As a result of the study, it was concluded that the infrastructure for nature tourism should be a subject to the principles of sustainable development of territories, minimize the negative impact on nature and increase the safety and comfort of tourists.
The need for architectural and site planning development of the existing urban environment, including residential areas, is justified by the growth of living standards and the needs of the population, as well as the emergence of new trends in urban design. The purpose of this study is to formulate the principles of a comprehensive renovation and design methods for a comfortable living environment on the example of the existing residential development of Vladivostok, located on complex terrain. The study revealed: architectural and site planning shortcomings of mass typical development, features of its planning structure, the device of the road network, courtyards and public spaces, artistic inexpressiveness of the environment. It is established that the conditions of complex relief require an integrated approach to the renovation of the living environment. The main principles formulated in the study are: the creation of an affordable multifunctional infrastructure that meets the needs of various population groups; organization of safe and comfortable courtyards, pedestrian transit paths connecting different levels of the landscape; organization of cycling; creation of public spaces saturated with social activity; the organization of compact buildings with adjoining and public spaces free from car parking; increase in the total area of landscaping due to the exploited roofs, slopes and vertical landscaping of the walls; giving the building and landscaping a unique architectural appearance, taking into account modern trends in design; formation of a barrier-free environment in residential development on complex terrain and taking into account the needs of people with disabilities. Based on the developed principles, an experimental project proposal for the renovation of residential development, which takes into account the climate and topography of the city of Vladivostok, was completed.
This study is due to the need to develop principles for the humanization of the living environment in the housing of the city of Vladivostok, contributing to the socialization of children in a contemporary city and to reduce the anthropogenic impact of the urban environment on them. The following research methods were used in the work: systematization of theoretical and practical sources - Russian and foreign scientific publications and real examples of children’s playgrounds; observation and behavioral mapping, photo-fixation, description of functional and aesthetic characteristics; analysis of requirements of normative and technical documentation and requirements for taking into account climate and terrain conditions, experimental design method. The results of the study were: criteria for evaluating the playgrounds for determining the degree of children socialization in the urban environment and the level of comfort of the residential yards; the principles for the humanization of outdoors spaces for children as a means of achieving a comfortable and educational environment for children in the conditions of the city of Vladivostok. The pilot project showed the effectiveness of the basic principles of the humanization of the urban environment for children proposed by the authors.
