The use of questionnaire surveys, being one of the research methods in psychology and pedagogy, is also widely implemented as a form of control of learners’ knowledge. However, it can also perform other functions. In this article, the author considers the use of the questionnaire survey as a useful tool in the educational process. It can be a methodical approach in teaching English, a means of increasing the motivation of students to study the subject and improving the educational level, an incentive to self-analysis, understanding and evaluation of various phenomena occurring in society. The author concluded that by having an indirect impact on the personality, the survey could contribute to the achievement of the practical goal of teaching a foreign language, training and education of students.
Many countries with multi-ethnicity and multiculturalism structure of the population, face today the problem of interethnic negativism. It aroused as a result of globalisation change. Besides, it causes an increase in social tension and leads to an increase in inter-ethnic and inter-ethnic conflicts. The article presents the data of sociological surveys in the Russian Federation and the results of studies in foreign countries, confirming the relevance and depth of the problem of ethnic and cultural contradictions. The authors consider the causes of inter-ethnic negativity and intolerance. The paper examines various approaches to the integration of the multi-ethnic population, the assimilation model and the model of recognition of differences-multiculturalism, and their shortcomings. The authors suggest developing a new model able to weaken ethnic negativity and form a culture of interethnic communication.
The article deals with the problem of the formation and development of emotional intelligence (EI) in students. The author noted that there is a relationship between intelligence and emotions. Next? The author listed five components of D Goleman’s. EI model, covering various skills and abilities, the formation and development of which should be directed efforts during the educational and educational process. Further, the author defined the tasks in which EI played an important role and presented an overview of current key methods for assessing and determining EI level In the end, the author presented the conclusions of research confirming the point of view about the possibility of targeted development of EI. Also, the author concluded that the formation and development of students’ emotional intelligence have particular importance in education, and its solution will allow students to successfully overcome difficulties of various properties and feel comfortable in society.
The article is devoted to the role of social networks in modern society. The genre of Internet commentary as solidarity and conflict is considered, the strategy of trolling and faming is presented. The role of mediation in community administration is analyzed. The principles of mediation, which must be adhered to by a public administrator, are proposed to maintain an impartial community that is free from communicative conflicts between its users and participants. In addition, the authors analyze the goals and results of the use of social networks by their administrators and users.
АННОТАЦИяСтатья посвящена анализу межкультурной коммуникации как инструменту солидарности между этническими сообществами в эпоху глобализационных процессов. Межкультурная коммуникация, являясь доминантой и детерминантом современного общества, приобретает еще большее значение в связи с процессами глобализации и интенсивной миграции, необходимостью взаимодействия и мирного сосуществования больших и малых этнических групп, а также формирования культурного разнообразия общества. Авторы рассматривают вопросы коммуникации на уровне различных этнокультурных групп. В статье описаны проблемы теоретических и практических подходов к формированию межкультурной коммуникации, которые разрабатывались на протяжении нескольких десятилетий, а также представлены различные модели межкультурной коммуникации и их компоненты.
