Our knowledge of the proper anaesthetic technique for children undergoing palliative or corrective surgery is limited. Further case reports will increase our experience in peri-operative management of children with trisomy 18.
The increased reporting of cases of drug-induced liver injuries reflects the growing number of new agents introduced into clinical practice in the last decade. The aim of this study was to determine the most common causes of drug-induced liver injury in our surroundings. We analyzed 52 patients with a diagnosis of hepatotoxic liver injury (medical history, detailed clinical evaluation of patients, histopathologic analysis of the liver, abdominal ultrasound, and laboratory determination of standard liver function tests) and followed up for 12 months.
