Periodic production of stone-cast products by metallurgical enterprises for their own usage is associated with solving the problems of non-serial production. First of all, these are the risks of inconsistency of charge materials, since the initial oxide charge materials (quartz sand, chamotte powder, periclase) are not subject of sufficient input control for chemical and mineral compositions, and the usage of chemically pure oxides as charge materials for stone casting materials in production -economically impractical. It was shown that usage of cast structure modifiers (SiC, B4C, ZrSiO4) for fluorophlogopite casting, compensates the insufficient input control of mineral composition of the charge, and provides effective decreasing of the cast mica crystals size even in large size casting.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
