Community service programs are implemented to solve problems after corn is harvested, this problem is faced by partner groups. The dependence of partners on traders who provide loans in the form of agricultural production facilities, makes farmers' incomes low. The provision of multifunctional machine technology, socialization, demonstration, and training is expected to be able to overcome the problems. Data processing using the Likert Summated Rating Scale (LSRS) with numbers 1-5 from the very poor to very knowing category. The ability of farmers to use machines after harvesting corn is categorized as understanding. All members of the farmer group understand and are able to operate the corn sheller machine owned by the traders, but at the time of operating the multifunction machine only some farmers are able and understand the operation of the machine. Demonstrations involve partners in the preparation, operation and production of multifunctional machines. By the end of the machine demonstration, almost every farmer has understood the function of each machine. The knowledge of farmers about making animal feed from corn cobs has increased to very knowledgeable. With the existence of multifunctional machines, it is hoped that farmers will not depend on traders and can increase their income from their corn products. The profits that farmers get are expected to be used as capital to fulfill production inputs for corn cultivation. Machine technology brings changes in farmers' activities and social changes by changing lives from an economic perspective, making it easier for farmers to peel and break corn
Organic material derived from horse manure is very abundant and has the potential to be used as organic fertilizer with good nutrient content for plants. This study to utilize organic manure from combustion for growth and productivity of the red chili. In addition, this research was conducted to obtain the right composition of fertilizer doses to increase the growth and production of curly red chili. The method to use the Alfisol soil growing media at the site using polybag by treating different doses on each treatment. The number of treatments were given doses of 0 g (P0), 1 g (P1), 284 g (P2), 426 g (P3) and 568 g (P4) with replications each three times. Analysis metode for use macro nutrient content (N, P, K) and data collection in the form of plant height, leaves, production and environmental factors. Data analysis used Duncan α 0.05. The results of the analysis of the treatment effect on plant height were P4 (Media of soil with combustion horse fertilizer from 568 g) treatment significantly different from other treatments. While other treatments did not show a significant difference in plant height. The effect of treatment on the number of leaves showed no real effect. In the growth and production of curly red chilies there are markedly significant differences. P4 is significantly different from P3, P2, P1 and P0. Whereas P3 is not significantly different from P1 as well as P2 which is significantly different from other treatments. P4 is a treatment with a large number of fruits with an average of 10.3 pieces. While treatment with a small number of fruits is P0 with an average of 2.3 fruits. Combustion horse manure organic fertilizer is quite effective in increasing the growth and production of red chili. It can be assessed from the development of plant height and number of fruits on curly red chili plants. The dose of horse manure organic fertilizer which is good enough for curly red chili plants is 568 g.
Chilis are a kind of plant that are established in a mass amount by Indonesian farmers and are believed to give a lot of benefits to health. However, its growth are not guaranteed to be ideal. One of the common problems in chilis’ growth is the inoptimality of the land’s yield. This is caused by the plants’ being not fertile because of weed growing around the plant, insufficient nutrients for the plants to keep its ideal growth, or the soil being contaminated by pollution such as detergents and excess chemical land fertilizer. The activity has been carried out April 9, 2022. Hence, the writer performed a counseling and training to a group of farmers incorporated in Lorong Cokonuri Farmers Group, Gunung Sari, Rappocini, Makassar City. The result showed an increase in the farmers’ knowledge and capability to grow the plant. In the future, this research is hoped to bring more improvement in the chili plants’ establishment.
