Low Birth Weight (LBW is defined as a neonate born too small, a baby born with a weight between 500- <2500 grams. Objective: To find out factors related to mortality of low birth weight babies at Labuang Baji Regional General Hospital of Makassar.This research method uses analytic observation with cross sectional study approach. The population in this study were all low birth weight infants (BBLR) treated at the Regional General Hospital of Labuang Baji Makassar in 2013-2015. The sample in this study were all low birth weight babies who died at the Regional General Hospital of Labuang Baji Makassar in 2013-2015. Sampling technique purposive sampling.Conclusion: There is a significant association between asphyxia, infection/ sepsis, hypoglycemia, hyperbilirubinemia, hypothermia, Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS) on the occurrence of LBW death.Suggestion: The need for early detection of complications that may occur in infants with LBW. Bayi Berat Lahir Rendah (BBLR didefenisikan sebagai neonatus yang lahir terlalu kecil yaitu bayi yang lahir dengan berat badan antara 500-<2500 gr. Untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kematian bayi berat lahir rendah di RSUD Labuang Baji Makassar. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan observasi analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional study. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua bayi berat lahir rendah (BBLR) yang dirawat di RSUD Labuang Baji Makassar tahun 2013-2015. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah semua bayi berat lahir rendah yang meninggal di RSUD Labuang Baji Makassar tahun 2013-2015. Teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling. Ada hubungan yang signifikan antara asfiksia, infeksi/sepsis, hipoglikemia, hiperbilirubinemia, hipotermia, Respiratory Distress Syndrom (RDS) terhadap kejadian kematian BBLR. Perlunya upaya deteksi dini komplikasi yang mungkin terjadi pada bayi dengan BBLR. Penanganan yang tepat dan cepat, termasuk sistem rujukan bayi dengan BBLR.
Physical and mental variations during pregnancy will quite often cause pressure. The aim of this study was to decide the connection between a spouse's help and the nervousness level of third-trimester pregnant ladies during the time of transformation during the Coronavirus pandemic. Cross-sectional analytic surveys were used in this kind of study. The number of inhabitants in this study was all pregnant ladies who completed Antenatal Consideration (ANC) at the Manuju Wellbeing Center, Manuju Area, Gowa Rule for the period August 2022 upwards of 43 individuals. The example was third-trimester pregnant ladies at the Manuju wellbeing focus utilizing the purposive testing procedure utilizing the Slovin equation, comprising 35 subjects. The chi-square analysis method was used in conjunction with the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) in the instrument. The results of the Chi-Square statistical test, which yielded a p-value of p-value=0,02 and a correlation coefficient of 0,691, demonstrated that there was a significant correlation between the level of anxiety experienced by pregnant women in the third trimester and the husband's support during the period of adaptation to the Covid-19 pandemic. So, one can conclude that the husband's support for pregnant women is stronger the more anxious they are.
Abstrak: Pengetahuan kader menjadi sangat penting karena dapat berpengaruh pada kinerja kader dalam pencegahan stunting. Peran kader sangat dibutuhkan agar dapat menyampaikan informasi, memberikan contoh, hingga menjalankan program untuk meningkatkan kesehatan khususnya terkait dengan masalah stunting. Hasil wawancara dari Pimpinan Cabang Aisyiyah Matakali bahwa program dalam bidang kesehatan belum berjalan secara maksimal. Maka dari itu, tujuan dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah menguatkan peran kader Aisyiyah Cabang Matakali dengan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam pencegahan stunting di Kabupaten Polman. Metode yang digunakan adalah edukasi tentang deteksi dini stunting (cara pengukuran antropometri), edukasi tentang gizi seimbang bayi/balita, serta demontrasi dan pendampingan pengolahan, penyajian dan pemberian makan tambahan bagi bayi dan balita. Mitra kegiatan adalah Kader Aisyiyah Cabang Matakali yang berjumlah 25 orang dan ibu bayi/balita di Desa Barumbung Kecamatan Matakali Kabupaten Polman yang berjumlah 33 orang.Terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan setelah diberikan edukasi dan praktik sebagai upaya penguatan peran kader Aisyiyah Cabang Matakali dalam pencegahan stunting di Kabupaten Polman. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan gambaran pengetahuan peserta yang hanya berada di kategori cukup (56%) dan kurang (44%) saat pretest. Setelah edukasi dan praktik menjadi kategori baik (46%) dan cukup (38%), walaupun masih ada kategori kurang (2%).Abstract: Knowledge of cadres is very important because it can affect the performance of cadres in preventing stunting. The role of cadres is urgently needed in order to be able to convey information, provide examples, and carry out programs to improve health, especially related to the problem of stunting. The results of interviews with the Head of the Aisyiyah Matakali Branch indicated that the program in the health sector had not run optimally. Therefore, the purpose of this community service is to strengthen the role of Aisyiyah cadres in the Matakali Branch by increasing their knowledge and skills in preventing stunting in Polman Regency. The method used is education about early detection of stunting (anthropometric measurement method), education about balanced nutrition for infants/toddlers, as well as demonstrations and assistance in processing, serving and providing additional food for infants and toddlers. The activity partners were Aisyiyah Cadres of Matakali Branch, totaling 25 people and mothers of babies/toddlers in Barumbung Village, Matakali District, Polman Regency, totaling 33 people. There was an increase in knowledge after being given education and practice as an effort to strengthen the role of Aisyiyah cadres of Matakali Branch in preventing stunting in Polman Regency. This is evidenced by the description of the participants' knowledge which was only in the sufficient category (56%) and less (44%) during the pretest. After education and practice, the category is good (46%) and sufficient (38%), although there is still a poor category (2%).
