The purpose of the study is to explore community perception about community preparedness in facing flood disaster. The qualitative descriptive with phenomenology approach was used in this study. A semistructured interview, observation, and field notes were used for seven participants of the village that was affected by flood disaster. Colaizzi’s method of qualitative data analysis is an approach used for analyzing data. Result of research found five themes about people perception of flood preparedness. The themes are past experience, early warning system, housing condition, shelter, and resource. Public perception and response to flood disaster are influenced by social cognitive and social capacity.
Height body detection is an interesting thing to study, because of height is often using in various fields. Measurement height with a manual tool, it is very easy to use. Retrieval of objects using a webcam camera then measured with the Russel & Rao method. This system was built using Borland Delphi 07 programming language. His research method was obtained from literature studies of various books and articles which consisted of several stages, like the grayscale stage, and russel & rao. And at the time of height detection, this system will doing well if around the object that will be taken into account there are no other objects, such as the meter will move to another thing. So to simplify the measurement, you must choose the right place. Russell & Rao’s performance has a true detection percentage of 65%. Based on 8 sample tests that have been carried out, only 3 have been detected correctly.
Lack of nutrition is the one of health problems that occurs in street children because of their irregular eating patterns and activities are not balanced with their food intake. In addition, with the most dominant activities of street children are singing, then selling and begging with uncertained work hours, street children are often also found until late night following city life. The research method is observational analytic using sectional design. The sample consists of 102 Street children of Surabaya. Sampling technique using Simple Random Sampling. The research instrument used Eating Pattern questionnaire and Physical Activity with validity 0.444 and reability 0.823, weight measurement with scales and height scale with microtoise. Data analysis was done by using spearman rank (rho) with significant level α <0.05. The results of the study, there is a relationship between eating pattern and physical activity with nutrition status of Surabaya street children. Proved by the results of statistical analysis of eating pattern with nitrition status of street children p = 0.000 <α = 0.05 and physical activity with nutrition status of street children p = 0.000 <α = 0.05. The conclusion of nutrition less can be related with eating pattern and physical activity of street children. So, it is necessary to pay attention towards their nutrition intake which received by Street children by giving them food 4 healthy 5 perfect and take a rest or sleep 9 until 11 hours per day to stabilized metabolism rate within their body of street children of Surabaya.
Coronary Heart Disease is one of many diseases that cause death and still being a health problem for both developed and developing countries. It is estimated to double in the next two decades, making it the biggest leading cause of death in 2020. The causes of coronary heart disease contain age and sex, with the incidence of males is more than in females but the incidence of females will increase after menopause (the end of the menstrual cycle) around the age of 50 years. This is due to estrogen (steroid compounds) have a protective effect on the onset of atherosclerosis. In this study the author wants to create a system that can detect heart disease by users before ensuring himself to the doctor to diagnose heart disease which is very dangerous. The system that the author will design used the certainty factor method to provide an assessment of the symptoms of user diagnosis. The application was designed with the desktop-based visual studio software assistance that is easy to use by everyone because it is familiar with the windows display design.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
