Background: Policies regarding procedures for using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for medical record officers were needed during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to analyze the quality assurance of services in the medical record unit RSUP Dr. Kariadi Semarang in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic. Type of mixed methods research. Methods: Type of mixed methods research. This research was conducted from July 1 to August 15, 2020. The data were obtained through in-depth interviews, and the processing and analysis of research data were carried out using content analysis and quantitative methods. Results: RSUP Dr. Kariadi Semarangalready have an SOP for the procedure for using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for medical record officers during the Covid-19 pandemic. Officers comply with the SOP for using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during the pandemic. Conclusions: There has been an evaluation of hospital policy monitoring the use of PPE for medical record officers in the Covid-19 pandemic era. Policies regarding, the flow of medical record service procedures are needed during the COVID-19 pandemic. This pandemic requires medical record unit to adapted quickly. Differences in established patients who were not confirmed by the 2019-nCoV virus. Evaluation of quality assurance medical record service procedures during the COVID-19 pandemic for established patients who are not confirmed by the 2019-nCoV that support person-centered health care is crucial for the officer's needs. This study aims was to know the quality assurance of medical record service unit in Kariadi Hospital Semarang during COVID-19 outbreak. This research conducted from 1 July to 15 August 2020. Research instrument used in-depth interviews sheet and direct with participants used COVID-19 health protocol. Interviews were transcribed verbatim and analysed used Haase's adaptation of Colaizzi's phenomenological. Research data analysis used content analysis with software Atlas.ti. The results, Dr. Kariadi Hospital already has an Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the flow of medical record service procedures during the COVID-19 pandemic for new or old patients who are not confirmed by the 2019-nCoV virus. Conclusion that Dr. Kariadi Hospital used quality assurance of electronic medical record to process medical record documents for patients who are not confirmed by the 2019-nCoV.
