ObjetivosSalud y drogas tiene como fin promover la divulgación de resultados de investigación sobre las drogodependencias y otros trastornos adictivos en general, desde una aproximación amplia y pluridisciplinar, perfeccionar sus métodos y técnicas, fomentar una visión crítica y comprometida del fenómeno de la droga e impulsar la cooperación científica entre los investigadores, profesores, estudiosos y especialistas de la materia, desde el compromiso con la ética y los derechos humanos. En este sentido, Salud y drogas publica artículos sobre tratamiento, prevención y reinserción social, así como estudios epidemiológicos, básicos y descriptivos sobre las drogodependencias y otras conductas adictivas. FrecuenciaSalud y drogas se publica dos veces al año en versión impresa y electrónica, siendo la versión electrónica idéntica a la impresa. IdiomaEl idioma de publicación es el español, si bien ocasionalmente se aceptan artículos escritos en lenguas de la Unión Europea. SeparatasSalud y drogas envía a cada autor una carta de aceptación una vez superado el proceso de revisión. Así mismo, cada autor recibe una copia en pdf de su artículo y un ejemplar impreso del número en el que aparece su artículo.
