Objectives: The aim of this case report is to explain further about radiograph on impacted right maxillary third molar and canine using CBCT 3D.
Case Report: A 18 year old female patient came with swelling on her upper right posterior gum. The condition was associated with pus contained in the gum. Physical examination revealed no exact abnormalities condition on her teeth. Panoramic radiograph examination showed radiopaque image surrounded by radiointermediate image in maxillary sinus. The result of 3D CBCT radiograph exhibited radioopaque image resembling tooth 18 surrounded by unilocular radiointermediate filling 2/3 maxillary sinus with well-defined border.
Conclusion: CBCT is a supported examination which may help in establishing diagnosis more accurately.
Objectives: This report is aimed to present a case about the resembling appearance of supernumerary teeth and odontoma in CBCT radiograph.
Case Report: A female patient came to the radiology installation for CBCT examination of the maxillary anterior region. The patient brought a referral from the IKGA section with a diagnosis of tooth impaction 11 accompanied by odontoma. From the results of the CBCT examination, it was clear that radiopaque clearly demarcated with an irregular shape that had an enamel, dentinal structure with incomplete root formation.
Conclusion: Odontoma has very similar appearance with supernumerary teeth in CBCT radiograph, understanding the specific characteristics is a need to help in diagnosis.
Lebar saluran nafas faring dapat dipengaruhi pola skeletal wajah dan posisi tulang hyoid. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis perbedaan lebar saluran nafas faring atas, bawah, dan posisi tulang hyoid antara pasien maloklusi skeletal kelas I dan kelas II ditinjau menggunakan radiograf sefalometri. Penelitian ini berupa deskriptif analitik yang menggunakan arsip data sekunder radiograf sefalometri pasien di Instalasi Radiologi Kedokteran Gigi RSGM UNPAD. Sampel penelitian ditentukan dengan metode purposive sampling dengan jumlah 44 arsip radiograf sefalometri. Rata- rata lebar saluran nafas faring atas pasien maloklusi skeletal kelas I 14,81±4,08 mm dan kelas II 12,27±3,16 mm dengan nilai P 0,0026 (P 0,05). Rata-rata lebar saluran nafas faring bawah pasien maloklusi skeletal kelas I 11,66±2,57 mm dan kelas II 10,62±1,77 mm dengan nilai P 0,202 (P0,05). Posisi tulang hyoid kelas I dan kelas II menunjukkan hasil yang sama, 7 posisi segitiga positif dan 15 segitiga negatif dengan nilai P 1,000 (P0,05). Terdapat perbedaan signifikan lebar saluran nafas faring atas antara pasien maloklusi skeletal kelas I dan kelas II ditinjau menggunakan radiograf sefalometri. Tidak ditemukan perbedaan signifikan lebar saluran nafas faring bawah dan posisi tulang hyoid.
Various obturation materials for the root canal of primary teeth are available, but none material that meets as an ideal properties. One of the obturation materials is zinc oxide eugenol (ZOE), with various advantages and disadvantages but is still often used. This case report discussed the radiographic evaluation of several cases of using ZOE as an obturation material for primary teeth against the condition of the permanent tooth germs as well as a review of the literature. All cases showed ZOE resorption rate was slower than root resorption, retained, and as a mechanical barrier against the eruption of permanent teeth. ZOE can be considered as a preferred obturation material for primary teeth, but we should reguler evaluate the permanent germ clinically and radiographically
