Introdução: Recursos lúdicos podem ser associados às técnicas em fisioterapia respiratória em crianças hospitalizadas. Objetivo: Demonstrar os benefícios dos recursos lúdicos na fisioterapia respiratória pediátrica. Método: Trata-se de um ensaio clínico randomizado. Selecionaram-se 11 crianças com diagnóstico de pneumonia e bronquite aguda, com idade variando de 3 meses a 5 anos, acompanhadas de seus responsáveis legais. Os pacientes foram randomizados e divididos em dois grupos homogêneos: Grupo A (intervenção) e Grupo B (controle), submetidos à pré- e pós-avaliação dos atendimentos. A avaliação consistiu na mensuração dos sinais vitais e na aplicação de questionário. Resultado: O Grupo A (n=5) foi mais colaborativo, mostrando melhora na capacidade respiratória e no estado emocional, já o B (n=4) não colaborou, pois a forma de abordagem sem o lúdico não foi atrativa, sendo pouco relaxante. Conclusão: Os recursos lúdicos associados à fisioterapia respiratória foram importantes na interação fisioterapeuta-criança, mantiveram os pacientes motivados e diminuíram as complicações respiratórias destes.
