Abstract. The individual learning differences that have been much explored relate to differences in personality, learning styles, strategies and conceptual of learning. This article studies the learning style profile exhibited by students towards the academic achievement in Malaysian Polytechnic. The relationship between learning styles of Polytechnic students and their academic achievement based on VARK learning styles model. The target population was international business students of Malaysian Polytechnic. By means of randomly sampling method, 103 students were selected as sample of research. By descriptive -survey research method and a questionnaire adapted from VARK Learning Style Index, required data were collected. According to the results, no significantly difference between learning style and academic achievement of students. Students academic achievement was quite similar to their individual learning styles. These facts reveal that each learning style has its own strengths and weaknesses.
This study aimed to investigate the perception of Lifelong Learning (LLL) program participants on their readiness to venture into entrepreneurship. Aspects of the level of readiness measured in this study includes; motivation, abilities knowledge and interests of the LLL program participants. The research sample consists of 235 respondents from LLL program participants. The research design was a survey using a quantitative approach that was analyzed using descriptive statistics-specifically frequency counts, percentages and mean. SPSS version 25.0 was used to analyze the data. The instrument used was a questionnaire which had a reliability coefficient of α=0.9, indicating a very high instrument reliability. Findings reveal that the level of readiness of LLL program participants in entrepreneurial knowledge was at moderate level with mean value is 3.6. Meanwhile, readiness level of LLL program participants in terms of entrepreneurial interest was at high level with mean value is 4.1. Readiness in terms of entrepreneurial motivation was at a high level with mean value is 4.2. While readiness in terms of entrepreneurial abilities was moderately high level with mean value is 3.8. Thus, the researchers hope that the results obtained can be exploited by certain parties in order to improve the readiness of lifelong learning program participants in entrepreneurship, thereby producing quality entrepreneurs who can create more jobs to reduce the problem of unemployment in Malaysia.
Technical Entrepreneur involves individuals who have a combination of knowledge, skills and capabilities in technical and entrepreneurship to engage in business. This study aims to identify the knowledge, skills and capabilities possessed by the trainee electrical wiring in GIATMARA Johor state in the formation of technical entrepreneurs. The respondents consisted of 124 students from seven branches GIATMARA Johor which have of course electrical wiring. This study is a descriptive study and data collection methods are conducted using questionnaires instrument set. Data were collected and analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 20.0 with regard to the mean and standard deviation. The results showed that the level of knowledge the coach is moderately high with a mean score of 3.86, the level of skills of trainees is moderately high with a mean score of 3.93 and also medium-level coach high reliability with a mean score of 3.96. Overall, the level of knowledge, skills and capabilities to be an entrepreneur coach Technical is moderately high and has a significant relationship. However, the level of knowledge, skills and capabilities can be enhanced to coach a higher level by increasing the entrepreneurial program and initial implementation of the coach electrical wiring in GIATMARA.
