Nowadays, customer awareness on environment friendly products is getting improved and there is an increase trend on green marketing strategy. The carried-out strategy has an objective of improving the customer care and purchasing intention on environment friendly products. Reviewing the issue of customer behavior, this study aims to review the correlation among green advertising, green brand image and customer green awareness on environment friendly products and their impacts to purchase intention. The study was conducted through a survey among 102 customers of Supermarket in Bandung City who have experience on friendly products. Data from the customers were obtained through a questionnaire, tabulated and processed by path analysis using SmartPLS. In order to emphasize research result, the research hypothesis test was conducted. Research finding explains that green advertising was assessed to be important by the customer and it can improve the customers' green awareness. On the other hand, it is stated that there was an impact of green awareness on improving customer purchasing intention on the environmentally friendly product. This study is useful for the supermarket in Indonesia particularly in understanding customer behavior to the environmentally friendly product. So, the implementation of the marketing strategy is more precise. Besides, this study can be an input for the Indonesian Government in implementing a regulation associated with the global warming issue through research on environmental friendly product.
The Ummatic Personality Inventory (UPI)© was devised within a specific framework. It intends to be an assessment tool for self-introspection (muhasabah) and self-improvement (islah). Central to this idea is the concept that one would be able to identify the area where improvements could be made as far as one's personality as a Muslim is concerned. This research was conducted at two universities. The sample size was 588. The statistical method, Principal Component Analysis (PCA), was used. PCA was used to identify the underlying dimensions for each construct of the instrument. The results provide evidence that the developed instrument possesses sound psychometric properties. The reliability test indicated that the instrument was reliable, given that the overall reliability value of Cronbach's Alpha was .963. The findings revealed that with the use of PCA, the Ibadah (worship) construct produced 5 significant factors, the Amanah (trust) construct generated 5 factors and the Ilm(knowledge) construct produced 2 factors. In conclusion, this study produced a prototype of the Ummatic Personality Inventory that possesses sound psychometric properties and contributes to the development of a novel psychological instrument from the Islamic perspective.
The main purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between self-concept, intrinsic motivation and self-determination with academic achievement among the respondents. The sample of the study was 200 students in standard 5 and standard 6 from a Chinese primary school in Johor, Malaysia. Data was collected using a self-developed set of questionnaire. The reliability of the instrument was tested using Cronbach's Alpha and the result was 0.941. The data was analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 17.0. Pearson correlation at the significant level of 0.05 was used in order to determine the relationships among the measured variables. Research finding shows that correlations between independent variables (self-concept, intrinsic motivation and self-determination of the respondents) and dependent variable (academic achievement) were all significantly low. Analysis of previous research discovers several salient factors in relation to the current research findings.
This paper intends to highlight the issues in thinking skills development and efforts made in addressing these issues in Malaysia. The education system in Malaysia has undergone a huge transformational progress particularly in the field related to the development of thinking skill. Traditionally, thinking skill was not specifically cultivated in the education syllabus. What moved as a global agenda in the realm of education, thinking skill was embraced as an important subject matter that needs a specific attention. It was later embedded in the teachers' training activities and translated into many forms, curricular and extra-curricular activities alike. Students are trained right from school up to tertiary levels. The move is ongoing and continuosly progressing.
This study aims to propose a convenient method for evaluating human stress during high cognitive workload in hermetic space via monitoring changes in the eye pupil dilation. An experiment was carried out to establish the correlation between the changes in eye pupil dilation while operating human-machine system and both the pilot's stress level and National Aeronautics and Space Administration Task Load Index (NASA-TLX). The experimental results indicate that detection accuracy of the flight operation task notably decreased and reaction time was prolonged when there was increased mental workload. At the same time, standard deviation of the recorded pupil dilation percentage significantly decreased. This highlights that the differences in eye pupil dilation can be used as reflective measure for mental workload level and performance assessment.
Purpose:This study aims to examine the trip experience on competitive advantage creation in Indonesia tourism. Trip experience includes transportation, accommodation, tour guide, and tourism activities. Design/Methodology/Approach: The research population consists of all international tourists who visited Indonesia through Soekarno Hatta International Airport (Jakarta) and Ngurah Rai International Airport (Bali). The questionnaire was constructed in English and translated into Arabic and Mandarin. Convenience sampling techniques were used to collect data. Out of 500 questionnaires distributed, only 415 were valid and used for analysis. Partial Least Square by SMART-PLS 3.0 software was used for data analysis. Findings: Result shows that transportation, accommodation and tourist activities are positively significant factors on tourist loyalty and mediated by tourist satisfaction. Whereas, tour guides have positively but not significant influence on tourist loyalty and mediated by tourist satisfaction. Practical implications:The study provides a practical implication which requires a close relationship of state governments and tourism companies in order to have good cooperative and coordination to competitive advantage creation. Originality/Value: As this study is based on recent studies on tourism destination in competitive advantage creation it brings a new insight of analyzing the two cities of highest tourists visits in order to understand the condition of overall Indonesian tourism.
