Every woman will always experience menstruation every month, this can cause dysmenorrhea caused by prostaglandin production such as menstrual pain in the form of cramps in the lower abdomen in the pelvic area which results in disruption of activities and quality of life. This study aims to determine the effect of effleurage massage on reducing menstrual pain in young women. This type of research uses a quasi-experimental design with one group pretest and posttest while the sampling technique is purposive sampling. The results showed that the p-value before and after effleurage massage therapy was 0.000 (<0.05). The results of the study concluded that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected because there was a significant effect before and after being given effleurage massage on reducing dysmenorrhea pain in young women.
Pendahuluan: Setiap wanita akan mengalami menstruasi setiap bulan. Gangguan yang terjadi saat wanita mengalami menstruasi yaitu disminorea yang disebabkan karena produksi prostaglandin dan sering terjadi didaerah panggul. Disminorea merupakan nyeri haid yang bersifat kram di perut bagian bawah yang terjadi selama menstruasi dan akan mempengaruhi kualitas hidup sebagian besar wanitaserta mengganggu aktivitas.Metode: Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan pada remaja putri. Persiapan yang dilakukan adalah mempersiapkan berbagai materi tentang sosialisasi manfaat efflurage massage untuk penurunan nyeri disminore. Informasi yang diperoleh melaui internet dan tim survey.Hasil: Hasil dari pengabdian terjadi rata-rata nyeri sebelum diberi perlakuan dengan nilai terendah yaitu 5 dan tertinggiyaitu 7dan rata-rata nyeri setelah diberikan perlakuan padaresponden dengan nilai terendah yaitu 3 dan tertinggi yaitu 5Kesimpulan: Effleurage massage secara signifikan dapat dilakukan pada remaja putri untuk mengurangi nyeri disminore remaja putri.
