Mathematics’ problem on PISA measures students’ ability of reasoning, problem solving and argument. So far, students are not well trained in solving PISA problems. Therefore it is necessary to know the ability to solve mathematical problems to be taken into consideration in providing questions that are similar to PISA questions. This study aims to describe students’ ability to solve mathematical problems oriented to PISA on space and shape content. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects of this study were students who have visual learning styles. The instruments in this study involves PISA mathematics question about space and shape content and student learning style questionnaires. The data analysis techniques used were data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. In obtaining data validity, researchers used sources triangulation. The results of this study show that students with a visual learning style understand the problem systematically and clearly by determining the known and unknown of the data. At devising a plan phase, students could find the connection of the given diagram and they have constant character. At the carrying out the plan, students solve the problem coherently. At the looking back phase, students did not recheck every steps on problem solving as they confident with their answer.
Rendahnya minat dan kemampuan membaca peserta didik di SD Negeri Nglorog 1. Beberapa hal yang menyebabkan kurangnya minat peserta didik membaca adalah metode yang digunakan pada saat pembelajaran masih berpusat pada guru, sehingga anak cenderung pasif, karena anak hanya focus mendengarkan ceramah dari guru, selain itu juga media pembelajaran yang disediakan oleh guru kurang menarik untuk peserta didik, sehingga anak merasa bosan dan tidak tercipta suasana belajar yang aktif antar guru dan murid. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (Classroom Action Research). Tekhnik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi serta tes kemampuan membaca peserta didik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan minat dan kemampuan membaca peserta didik di SD Negeri Nglorog 1 yang berjumlah 15 orang yang terdiri dari 10 anak laki-laki dan 5 anak perempuan. Penelitian yang dilakukan terdiri atas dua siklus, di mana pelaksanaan siklus pertama akan diamati bagaimana perubahan yang terjadi, jika di dalam siklus pertama masalah belum terpecahkan dan belum mencapai kriteria ketuntasan minimal maka penelitian dilanjutkan kepada siklus kedua. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan sejak sebelum Tindakan sampai siklus 2 menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan minat dan kemampuan membaca peserta didik di SD Negeri Nglorog 1 yang cukup signifikan. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan meningkatnya prosentase minat dan kemampuan membaca peserta didik yang sebelumnya 50 % telah meningkat menjadi 79 %, artinya peningkatan ini sudah memenuhi hasil KKM yang diharapkan oleh peneliti dan guru. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa media kartu kata dapat meningkatkan minat dan kemampuan membaca peserta didik di SD Negeri Nglorog 1.
There are still many teachers who sometimes don't realize that emotional intelligence and self-confidence have a related unity where if someone has been able to control himself and have emotional intelligence, students will be able to place themselves in all situations. Verbal and non-verbal approaches are used to be able to motivate someone such as praise, and applause. This study aims to analyze how verbal and non-verbal approaches are in controlling emotions so that they can make students have individual self-confidence. In this study, this research method used a qualitative descriptive method with data collection, namely observation, interviews, documentation and directly involved in finding the necessary information. The subjects of this study were elementary school students. The data analysis technique used by the authors in this study is through four sub-processes, namely data collection, data reduction, data display and data verification. The results that the researchers got were that with verbal and non-verbal approaches they could control students' emotions and have self-confidence, such as self-responsibility, self-confidence, and ability to accept criticism and suggestions from others.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA melalui media ular tangga pada peserta didik Kelas 4B SD Negeri Nglorog 01 sragen. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan subjek penelitian peserta didik kelas 4B SD Negeri Nglorog 01 dengan rincian 9 peserta didik laki-laki dan 8 peserta didik perempuan. Informan penelitian ini adalah walikelas IV B. menggunakan pengumpulan data tes dan observasi. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua tahap. Setiap tahap memiliki 4 langkah, yaitu perencanaan, observasi, Tindakan dan refleksi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan berupa deskriptif kuantitatif dan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persentase ketuntasan hasil belajar pada prasiklus sebanyak 7 peserta didik tuntas (41%) meningkat menjadi 12 peserta didik tuntas (70%) pada siklus I dan meningkat menjadi 14 peserta didik tuntas (82%) pada siklus II. Dari data tersebut dapat disimpulkan melalui penerapan media ular tangga dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas 4B SD Negeri Nglorog 01 Sragen
