COVID-19, doença responsável pela pandemia em 2020, fez com que muitos setores de saúde mudassem sua forma de trabalho e funcionamento, trazendo a necessidade da criação de planos de contigências para um melhor enfrentamento da pandemia. O estudo objetiva demonstrar o plano de contingência para o enfrentamento da COVID-19 em uma maternidaAde. Metodologia: pesquisa documental e ação participativa, utilizando fontes documentais (repositórios da Organização Mundial de Saúde, da Fiocruz, do Ministério da Saúde e da Secretaria de Saúde Pública do Rio Grande do Norte) e fontes secundárias como artigos e pré prints. Após a primeira edição, houve mais seis modificações até o Plano de Contingência ficar a contente e atingir o objetivo de prevenir a contaminação de usuárias, acompanhantes e servidores. Para isso, foi necessário alteração do fluxo de funcionamento da maternidade, bem como novas rotinas e maiores capacitações e treinamentos por parte dos profissionais de saúde. Percebeu-se que as melhores ações estratégicas atualmente são as medidas preventivas de contágio e higiene, educação em saúde a nível hospitalar, os equipamentos de proteção individual (EPI) e o cumprimento do calendário de vacinação por todos os funcionários e usuários do serviço.
A transmissão vertical da sífilis consiste em um grande problema de saúde pública no Brasil e a conscientização da prevenção e tratamento é necessária para enfrentamento do problema. Esse estudo teve como objetivo utilizar informações do repositório DATASUS para a construção do perfil epidemiolófico de sífilis congênita no estado da Paraíba.Trata-se de um estudo epidemiológico, descritivo e retrospectivo, de caráter quali-quantitativo, realizado através do repositório institucional Datasus, no período de setembro de 2021. A coleta de dados foi realizada com os dados contidos no Datasus sobre os casos de SC no período dos anos de 2014 a 2018. Foram notificados 1428 casos, localizados principalmente na 1º região de saúde da Paraíba destes, observou-se que a maioria dos casos de SC em crianças é do sexo feminino com a porcentagem de 47,48% do total de casos. O maior percentual de detecção de SC foi até 6 dias de nascido, referente a 96,92% dos casos no estado da Paraíba. A maior parte das mães portadoras possuía da 5ª à 8ª série incompleta (20,7%) e que, em 27,6% dos casos, essa informação foi classificada como ignorada. Desta forma, é indispensável o desempenho dos profissionais de saúde para detectar, intervir e prevenir a Sífilis no decorrer da gestação, favorecendo a redução da incidência dessa patologia. Sendo assim, o período pré-natal se torna essencial a ação de medidas preventivas de saúde que possibilite uma gestação sem intercorrências.
