Apesar de bem distribuída, a espécie só é abundante na região Sul.As subpopulações na porção norte da sua distribuição encontram-se muito reduzidas. Os registros para a Bahia são pontuais: Além do espécime-tipo, coletado na região de Vitória da Conquista no século XIX, o registro mais ao norte da espécie foi obtido em 2021 no PARNA Chapada Diamantina (Prates, 2021).
No abstract
Alectrurus tricolor distribui-se na Bolívia, Paraguai e Brasil, ocorrendo em campos naturais pouco alterados ou inalterados do Cerrado. Atualmente, a população brasileira está quase restrita a unidades de conservação. A população é inferida em menos de 10.000 indivíduos maduros, com três subpopulações representativas localizadas nos Parques Nacionais das Emas, da Serra da Canastra e da Chapada dos Veadeiros, entretanto não existe nenhuma unidade de conservação que ofereça proteção a uma das populações mais relevantes, que habita a região de Uberaba/MG. As subpopulações são inferidas em menos de 1.000 indivíduos maduros. A espécie está ameaçada pela perda de habitat devido à supressão dos campos naturais em função da expansão das atividades agrosilvopastoris e invasões de espécies exóticas (Pinus e gramíneas), havendo declínio populacional continuado. Por essas razões, A. tricolor foi categorizada Vulnerável (VU), pelo critério C2a(i).
Contopus cooperi é espécie migratória que reproduz na América do Norte e inverna na região amazônica, principalmente na porção ocidental e no sudeste do Brasil. Habita florestas semiabertas, bordas de floresta e clareiras, sendo tolerante à alterações de habitat. Nas áreas reprodutivas da América do Norte, estimativas apontam uma redução populacional de 28% em 10 anos. No Brasil, não há informações populacionais, porém infere-se que a população brasileira, composta de migrantes, reflita a condição encontrada nas áreas reprodutivas. Como se trata da mesma população, assume-se para o Brasil o mesmo declínio em 10 anos no passado, aproximando a espécie do limiar para categorização como Vulnerável pelo critério A2b. Assim sendo, C. cooperi foi categorizada como Quase Ameaçada (NT).
Cinclodes pabsti é endêmica do Brasil, ocorrendo nos campos de altitude do sudeste de Santa Catarina e nordeste do Rio Grande do Sul. Pode ocupar terrenos cultivados e campos abertos próximos à casas e à água, mas depende de campos nativos para sobreviver. Estimativas da perda de habitat realizadas entre 2010 e 2020 indicam que houve perda de 20% em áreas de formação campestre dentro do polígono de distribuição da espécie. Suspeita-se que sua população reduziu na mesma proporção da perda do habitat em função de atividades antrópicas, sobretudo agropecuária e silvicultura, aproximando a espécie do limiar para categorização como Vulnerável (VU) pelo critério A2c. Desta forma, C. pabsti foi categorizado como Quase Ameaçada (NT).
