The last two years, the period of the pandemic, have brought a significant change in the tourism of Hungary, which has been developing unbroken until then. The year 2019 broke all the peaks that were interrupted by the pandemic. This particularly affected our spa towns of international significance, including the examined settlements, Hévíz and Zalakaros. The aim of the study is to show what changes have taken place in the development of the number of visitors in the cities that have been based mainly on foreign traffic until then, what territorial reorganization has taken place in terms of sending areas, and what new target groups with modified attitude have emerged. In this study, we analyzed in detail the databases of the National Tourist Data Center, which has been operating since July 2019, and the monthly database of the Hungarian Central Statistical Office. The special, so-called unconventional tourism is carried out on the one hand by the methodology of statistical data collection and on the other hand by the explored tourism behavior. According to our results, it is clear that due to the domestic traffic, a completely new target group (age group and status) appeared in the two spa towns, their sending areas affected the metropolitan suburban zones, and the target group was high-status, younger guests. In our opinion, this offers a new opportunity for spa towns to generate more sustainable, future-oriented guests with a focus on local values, creating a new supply structure and image, as well as messages.
A turizmus természetében az ezredfordulót követően kikristályosodó változások szükségszerűvé tették értelmezésének és mérésének újragondolását. A politikai szféra a turisztikai szervezetekkel, statisztikai intézetekkel, akadémiai kutatóhelyekkel együttműködve törekszik az utazással összefüggő új jelenségek gazdasági, társadalmi és környezeti hatásmechanizmusainak korszerű interpretálására. A turizmus hagyományos, a szálláshelyek igénybevételén alapuló értelmezése mára már a múlté. A szakpolitikának a stratégiaalkotás, a jogszabály-előkészítés, a fejlesztési irányok meghatározása és a támogatási rendszerek működtetése során a nemkonvencionális turisztikai mobilitásban rejlő lehetőségek kiaknázását is célszerű szem előtt tartania. Jelen tanulmány az elmélet és a gyakorlat határmezsgyéjén haladva (a hazai és a nemzetközi szakirodalom feldolgozására, valamint az UNWTO és a KSH adatbázisainak másodelemzésére építve) arra törekszik, hogy rávilágítson a statisztikai számbavételezésen kívül eső, úgynevezett láthatatlan turizmus hordozta potenciálra, amelynek felismerése helyi (térségi) és nemzetgazdasági szinten egyaránt jelentősen hozzájárulhat a turizmussal összefüggő bevételek növekedéséhez.
Az üzleti környezet sohasem stagnál, csakis a benne lévő változás állandó. A szálláshelypiacon zajló folyamatos változás olykor bizonytalan piaci helyzetet teremt, és arra kényszeríti a szállodavállalatokat, hogy a változó feltételekhez alkalmazkodva gondolják újra üzleti modelljeiket, működési folyamataikat, a kínált termékeik és szolgáltatásaik körét. A szállodavállalatok a legtöbb esetben új gyakorlatok alkalmazásával, technológiai vagy nem technológiai innováció bevezetésével reagálnak a megváltozott fogyasztói igényekre. A hosszútávon sikeres üzemeltetéshez azonban nem elegendő kizárólag a vendégelvárásoknak eleget tenni, a szálláshelypiac lokális és globális kihívásaira is választ kell adni a megváltozott feltételrendszereknek megfelelően. Jelen tanulmány célja a Design Thinking és a Service Design mint innovációs katalizátorok alkalmazási lehetőségeinek bemutatása a szállodaipar példáján keresztül.
Jelen munka célja a turisztikai innovációk vizsgálata globális szinten, a turisztikai piac sajátosságainak figyelembevételével. A tanulmányban a turizmus iparág innovációkra való fogékonyságát, illetve a turisztikai innovációk korlátait vizsgálom szakértői mélyinterjúk segítségével. A témaválasztást a pandémia aktualitásán túl, jelenlegi munkaköröm is inspirálta, ahol innovációs programigazgatóként turisztikai ötletek toborzásával foglalkozom napi szinten. A fő kutatási téma, hogy a turisztikai ökoszisztémában részt vevő vállalkozások kezdeményező szerepet játszanak a turisztikai innovációk megalkotásában, vagy a turizmus szektor inkább egyfajta „követőként” átveszi és pusztán alkalmazza a más szektorok által létrehozott innovatív megoldásokat, saját képére formálva azokat?
