The Coronavirus outbreak that began in December, 2019 became a worldwide pandemic by March, 2020. The education industry had to adapt to this new change in a speedy and most feasible way by shifting to virtual classes over the internet and other available resources. WhatsApp has turned out to be a boon in academic’s section where in all the teachers have their own subject-wise groups on the said application. This not only helps them to share the necessary information resources but also to have discussion regarding the subject matter. On the other side, this application allows easy access for the students to all the resources shared by the teacher, and they can share their assignments without much difficulty with their subject teachers. Therefore, it has become a primary tool for conducting teaching, learning and evaluation online. The researchers have tried to analyze impact of online classes and the efforts required by the students to learn online with the help of survey conducted with the sample size of 514. The survey questionnaire was grouped into 4 categories namely; Opinion on Information and Communications Technology (ICT) based Teaching, Changes in communication behavior due to ICT using WhatsApp, the main hindrance for integration of ICT (Information Communication Technology) in the teaching-learning process and disadvantages of using ICT for teaching and learning.
Most educational institutions worldwide have been closed since March 2020 in an effort to slow the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic. More than 90% of students around the world have been influenced by this. In this study, we'll make a prediction about whether or not the Covid-19 epidemic has benefited student performance. Our data will be divided into training and testing datasets, with 80% of the data utilised for training and 20% for testing. To calculate the accuracy of our predictions, we'll use six different algorithms, including the RandomForestClassifier Algorithm, the GaussianNB Algorithm, the K Neighbors Classifier Algorithm, the Logistic Regression Algorithm, the Linear Discriminant Analysis Algorithm, and the DecisionTree Classifier Algorithm.
The Coronavirus outbreak which began in December 2019 became a world-wide pandemic by March 2020. In India there was a lockdown which started early April 2020. It had a huge impact on each and every aspect of human life disrupting the daily routines of every individual. The education industry had to adapt to this new change in a speedy and most feasible way by shifting to virtual classes over the internet and other available resources. We tried to survey the efforts required to learn online and the impact of online classes. We prepared a questionnaire and grouped it into 4 categories namely, planning, monitoring, controlling and reflecting. We have tried to understand the impact of this paradigm shift to virtual and online learning in these pandemic times from the students' perspective.
Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a type of international private business self-regulation that aims to contribute to societal goals of a philanthropic, activist, or charitable nature by engaging in or supporting volunteering or ethically-oriented practices. While once it was possible to describe CSR as an internal organisational policy or a corporateethic strategy, that time has passed as various international laws have been developed and various organisations have used their authority to push it beyond individual or even industry-wide initiatives. While it has been considered a form of corporate self-regulation forsome time, over the last decade or so it has moved considerably from voluntary decisions at the level of individual organizations to mandatory schemes at regional, national, and international levels. Considered at the organisational level, CSR is generally understood as a strategic initiative that contributes to a brand's reputation. As such, social responsibility initiatives must coherently align with and be integrated into a business model to be successful. With some models, a firm's implementation of CSR goes beyond compliance with regulatory requirements and engages in "actions that appear to further some social good, beyond the interests of the firm and that which is required by law”. Furthermore, businesses may engage in CSR for strategic or ethical purposes. From a strategic perspective, CSR can contribute to firm profits, particularly if brands voluntarily self-report both the positive and negative outcomes of their endeavours. In part, these benefits accrue by increasing positive public relations and high ethical standards to reduce business and legal risk by taking responsibility for corporate actions. CSR strategies encourage the company to make a positive impact on the environment and stakeholders including consumers, employees, investors, communities, and others. From an ethical perspective, some businesses will adopt CSR policies and practices because of ethical beliefs of senior management. For example, a CEO may believe that harming the environment is ethically objectionable
The Coronavirus outbreak which began in December 2019 became a world-wide pandemic by March 2020.The education industry had to adapt to this new change in a speedy and most feasible way by shifting to virtual classes over the internet and other available resources. As a result of this several tools for video and audio conferencing, text messaging and networking became very popular. Platforms such as Google Classroom and LMS( Learning Management Systems) gained popularity. Lectures are conducted in two ways- either live interaction of faculty and students on platforms such as Google Meet, Zoom app, Microsoft Teams, GoToMeeting and other similar applications; or by sending pre-recorded videos to students using LMS, Whatsapp and other similar applications. Digital applications are being primarily used for conducting online teaching, learning and evaluation. We tried to survey the amount of time the students are spending on their smart devices and whether it is leading to or has already caused technology addiction. We prepared a questionnaire and grouped it into 3 categories namely, Usage of Technology, Impact of Online Education and the Time Spent on various categories of applications. Keywords: Pandemic, Online education, Technology addiction, Impact of online education, Time management
