The proliferation of Internet has been another warning bell for conventional broadcast radio. Numbers of listener gradually shift to the new mean of media as it is more attractive and convenient for users. The situation drives radio managers to adapt with various ways. Developing audio podcast is among the strategy that has been growing in the United States and various countries in Europe, but not yet quite popular in Indonesia. Whereas the potential audience is quite large, since the growing number of commuters and fact that about 30% of total population is categorized as auditory learner. For such reason, this library research is conducted to explore the opportunities for audio podcast to develop in Indonesia, as well as content analysis of some of the most successful podcast provider sites. The results show that audio podcast optimization strategy includes the development of podcast materials with appropriate approach and content distribution with audience’s needs, wants, and ways of consuming audio content; as well as the compatibility of the content with the character and orientation of the media. In addition, this effort must also be accompanied by intensive campaigns through various way.
This research aims to find media literacy concept that already uses. It also discoveries methodology that frequently used by scholars in measuring media literacy. This research is a systematic review with content analysis as data analysis. Authors use a research article as a unit analysis. There are some criteria that have been used in sorting the article. For instance, the article should be published by acredated journal (sinta 2,3, and 4), they should have a rigid explanation about methodology. Furthermore, authors used three keywords in searching the article. The result shows that there are several concepts that have been used. In fact, the scholars used a different term to describe media literacy although they had the same definition. Descriptive qualitative and interview have widely used in measuring media literacy's skill. As a consequence, the finding is not depth enough to explore media literacy among the informant. Therefore, we suggest that future research should employ various methods such as performance-based research. Moreover, future research should elaborate on media literacy with others variable.
Pemberlakuan kebijakan Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar (PSBB) selama masa pandemi COVID-19 yang menciptakan tekanan ekonomi serta dibarengi keterbatasan ruang gerak sosial individu berimplikasi terhadap peningkatan jumlah kasus kekerasan seksual di Indonesia. Pemberitaan terkait isu kekerasan seksual dinilai masih belum menjadi perhatian media kecuali jika kasus tersebut menyangkut figur publik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencermati kecenderungan pemberitaan di laman portal berita daring yang dengan asumsi akan memberi porsi lebih sejalan dengan bertambahnya kasus kekerasan seksual selama PSBB. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode analisis framing dengan cara menganalisis pemberitaan kasus kekerasan seksual pada laman portal Okezone.com dan Kompas.com selama periode bulan April – Oktober 2020 dengan menggunakan teori Framing. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam pengidentifikasian masalah kasus kekerasan seksual yang terjadi dan menimpa kaum perempuan sebagai korban selama pemberlakuan PSBB masih meneguhkan budaya patriarki. Identifikasi sumber masalah pada laman portal berita Kompas.com telah berupaya untuk meliput dari dua sudut pandang (both sides of the story) dibandingkan Okezone.com walau fokus berita masih menguraikan latar belakang korban; moral judgement dikategorikan: kekerasan seksual terjadi di luar kontrol pelaku, patriarki sebagai ideologi yang melegitimasi kekerasan terhadap perempuan, kekerasan terhadap perempuan dapat menimbulkan berbagai dampak bagi korbannya, belum disahkannya RUU Penghapusan Kekerasan Seksual sebagai bentuk ketidakperhatian dan berdampak terhadap perempuan korban kekerasan seksual; serta rekomendasi solusi yang dibingkai oleh media masih condong penyelesaian masalah yang menyalahkan korban kekerasan, bukan pada antisipasi atau rekomendasi hukuman bagi pelaku. Dengan demikian fokus narasi pemberitaan tentang kasus kekerasan seksual masih jauh dari keberpihakan terhadap korban dan penegakan hukum yang adil.

ini adalah guna mengetahui media apa saja yang dapat digunakan oleh masyarakat desa Tarumajaya dalam pencarian informasi kesehatan dan bagaimana masyarakat desa mengelola media dalam pencarian informasi kesehatan. Sejumlah 48 orang masyarakat desa yang terdiri dari ibu PKK dan aparatur desa mengikuti kegiatan penyuluhan ini. Penyuluh yang terlibat berasal dari Fakultas Ilmu Komunikasi Universitas Padjadjaran yang memiliki keahlian dibidang penyuluh literasi digital. Metode penyuluhan yang digunakan adalah metode ceramah, diskusi dan permainan. Hasil dari kegiatan penyuluhan ini adalah peserta sudah aktif menggunakan mesin pencarian secara daring untuk berbagai informasi, peserta juga mengenal aplikasi percakapan daring dan beberapa diantaranya telah memiliki akun media sosial Facebook dan Instagram. Dengan adanya penyuluhan ini peserta dibekali pengetahuan dan tips untuk mengkritisi sebuah informasi kesehatan yang mereka peroleh di internet serta ciriciri informasi bohong (hoax). AbstractThe purpose of the activity "Digital Literacy Counseling: Utilization of the Internet as a Source of Health Information for the People of Tarumajaya Village, Kertasari District, Bandung Regency" is to find out what media can be used by Tarumajaya villagers in seeking health information and how the village community manages the media in health information search. A total of 48 villagers consisting of PKK mothers and village officials attended this extension activity. The extension officers involved came from the Faculty of Communication, Padjadjaran University, who have expertise in the field of digital literacy counselors. The extension method used is lecture, discussion and game methods. The results of this extension activity are that participants have been active using online search engines for various information, participants also know about online conversation applications and some of them already have Facebook and Instagram social media accounts. With this extension, participants were provided with knowledge and tips to criticize the health information they obtained on the internet and hoax information.
Data menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media digital semakin meningkat, terutama semenjak pandemi Covid-19, khususnya di kalangan remaja. Selain itu, berbagai studi juga telah memperlihatkan keterkaitan antara penggunaan media digital dan kesehatan mental remaja. Dengan demikian, kemampuan memanfaatkan media digital pun berperan penting dalam mengelola kesehatan mental remaja. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi remaja Indonesia mengenai cara penggunaan media sosial yang baik bagi kesehatan mental serta mengedukasi remaja terkait dampak penggunaan media digital bagi kesehatan mental. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu dengan penyuluhan (seminar), diskusi interaktif secara virtual, dan kuis yang melibatkan peserta dari kalangan remaja, terutama siswa-siswi sekolah menengah atas (SMA) dan mahasiswa. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa remaja yang menjadi peserta menggunakan media digital, khususnya media sosial, secara aktif dan peserta dapat memahami materi yang disampaikan terkait media digital dan kesehatan mental. Hal ini dapat diidentifikasi melalui keterlibatan aktif peserta dalam diskusi dan penilaian atas jawaban peserta dalam kuis yang relevan dengan materi.
Peneliti melakukan penelitian tentang analisis beban kerja tenaga kependidikan di Fakultas Y Universitas X. Fokus penelitiannya adalah beban kerja berdasarkan analisis pekerjaan dan beban kerja berdasarkan kinerja pegawai. Penelitian yang menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif (generic quantitative inquiry) yang memberikan gambaran atas beban kerja yang diemban oleh tenaga kependidikan di Fakultas Y Universitas X. Sampel penelitian mengambil keseluruhan jumlah tenaga kependidikan dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui penyebaran kuesioner tertutup. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tenaga kependidikan di Fakultas Y Universitas X telah melakukan tugas dan tanggung jawab yang sesuai dengan beban kerjanya. The focus of this research is based on workload analysis and job workload based on employee performance. Thy study uses quantitative descriptive method (generic quantitative inquiry) that provides an overview of the workload performed by academic staff in the Faculty of Y at the University of X. Sample of this research is taken from educational personnel data collection techniques through questionnaires. The results show that the academic staff in the Faculty of Y at X University has undertaken the task and responsibilities based on the workload being given.
ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang perwakilan metroseksual dalam Vaseline Men Face Mousturizer TVC dari makna dennotasi dan konotasi, serta mengetahui perwakilan mitos metroseksual dalam Vaseline Men Face Mouisturizer TVC. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode semiotika oleh Roland Barthes. Analisis Semiotik diimplementasikan pada TVC (Televisi Komersial) versi Vaseline Men Face Moisturizer Darius Sinathrya. Analisis ini difokuskan pada adegan-adegan yang mengandung tanda-tanda dominan metroseksual. Hasil penelitian menemukan karakteristik pria metroseksual yang terkandung dalam iklan Vaseline Men Face Moisturizer. Tanda yang dapat diartikan sebagai kebiasaan pria metroseksual adalah pria yang memiliki tubuh atletis dan berolahraga di pusat kebugaran, pria yang memiliki kulit wajah cerah dan tidak memiliki noda hitam, pria yang menggunakan produk kosmetik, dan pria metroseksual yang menjadi idola pria. Berdasarkan analisis tanda-tanda denotasi dan konotasi, yang dilakukan oleh para peneliti, ditemukan bahwa mitos metroseksual adalah mitos maskulinitas dalam konsep metroseksual, dan mitos pria metroseksual adalah idola pria. ABSTRACT This research is aimed to know about the representatives of metrosexual in Vaseline Men Face Mousturizer TVC from dennotation and connotation meaning, and also to know the representatives of metrosexual myth in Vaseline Men Face Mouisturizer TVC.This research using methods of semiotics by Roland Barthes. The Semiotic analysis implemented on TVC (Television Commercial) Vaseline Men Face Moisturizer Darius Sinathrya version. This analysis focused on the scenes which containing a dominant signs of metrosexual.The results of the research find characteristics of metrosexsual men contained in Vaseline MenFace Moisturizer advertising. Signs that can be interpreted as habitude of metrosexsual men is a man who have an athletic bodies and workout in the fitness center, men who have bright facial skin and doesn't have a black stain, men that using cosmetics product, and metrosexual male who become male idol. Based on analysis of denotation and connotation signs, conducted by researchers, it was found that the metrosexual myths are masculinity myth in the metrosexual concept, and the myth of metrosexual male are male idol.
