The purpose of this study was to determine the difference of implementation the Course Review Horay (CRH) model on learning activities of students grade X SMA Negeri 1 Muntilan, academic year 2017/2018 in nomenclature of chemical compounds material. This research is an experimental research. Population of this study was all class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Muntilan on 2017/2018 school year, with a total of 7 classes. Samples were taken by purposive sampling technique consist of 2 classes. Data collection techniques used non-test methods. Form of assessment used are observation sheets. Data analysis techniques using the Mann Whitney-U test. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded: There was different of chemistry learning with the CRH model on student learning activities in Nomerclature of Chemical Compounds material.
This study's objectives were to investigate and analyze comparisons of students' learning motivation during online learning based on gender. This quantitative study used a survey design. The subject study consisted of 331 students in the high school selected from science majors using the convenience sampling technique. The Instrument was adopted by The Motivated Strategies Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ), which consisted of five aspects (self-efficacy, intrinsic value, test anxiety, strategy use, self-regulation). The Instrument was tested valid and reliable to use. Data analyzed was used descriptive statistics and Mann Whitney test. These findings that the female student's mean score of learning motivation is higher than the male student's mean score. Based on the Mann-Whitney test results, there is a significant difference in the mean score of learning motivation between male and female students. Finally, we suggest further research on gender differences in learning motivation using a larger population and more extensive research about investigating the relationship or influence of students' learning motivation toward gender.
This study is aimed to describe the students' perspective towards self-determined learning to promote freedom learning implementation. The survey research design with clustered sampling technique was used to collect 380 senior high school students' responses. The questionnaire that was used in the survey have validated using Pearson Product Moment and reliably known by the Alpha-Cronbach score. Descriptive statistics used as the data analytical technique to describe the senior high students' perspective towards self-determined learning to promote the freedom learning implementation. The results showed that freedom learning fundamental points have similar points with self-determined learning principles consisting of heutagogy and autonomous learning skills. The main conclusion concludes that the students' perspective toward self-determined learning could promote freedom learning implementation. The study's recommendations are be expanded the cluster sampling and be emerged the survey in the case during and after the Covid-19 pandemic the that is indirectly fostering the students' heutagogy and autonomous skill by emphasizing self-determined learning.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
