The research aims to describe; (1) the process of teaching speaking by using audio visuals, (2) the problems that appeared and its solution in implementing linguistic intelligence for teaching speaking through audio-visuals, and (3) the improvement of students speaking skills. The method used was Classroom Action Research, which involved students in the third semester of the Foreign Language Academy of Dian Cipta Cendikia Bandar Lampung. This action research consisted of 2 cycles. In the first cycle, students did activities such as listening to the songs in audio, reading the song's text and understanding the song's lyrics, and practicing speaking individually. In the second cycle, students did activities such as listening to the song in audio and visual, reading and understanding the song lyrics using word functions (noun, verb, adj., and adv.), and practicing speaking in pairs. The data were from students, teachers, and test observations. The findings indicated that; (1). There was an improvement in active students in learning activities; first cycle, 2D3-BIa class had 50% active students in the first meeting and 65% active students in the second. There was an improvement for active students in the second cycle. 2D3-BIa class had 70% active students in the first meeting and 85% active students in the second. It means that the data had reached a minimum indicator of 70%, and (2) problems that appeared during the implementation of the teaching-learning process happened in pronouncing words, understanding words function, and expressing the idea of the content of the song's text. The solution was that the teacher should help all the students' problems to develop speaking skills repeatedly, and 3) the improvement of students' speaking skills was significant. In the first cycle, students who passed the test were 60%. There was an improvement in the second cycle. Students who passed the test were 85%. It means that the data had reached the minimum indicator.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pembelajaran kosa kata Bahasa Inggris menggunakan media Jazz Chants video , dan. peningkatan penguasaan kosa kata Bahasa Inggris mahasiswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan melibatkan mahasiswa Akademi Bahasa Asing Dian Cipta Cendikia Bandar Lampung pada kelas D3-BI-IA dan D3-BI-IB tahun pembelajaran 2020-2021. Penelitian tindakan ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Pada siklus I, tindakan dilakukan berupa menyimak Jazz Chants dalam bentuk audio, membaca teks lagu, pemahaman arti kata, dan mencari fungsi kata dalam kalimat. Pada siklus II, aktivitas pembelajaran dikembangkan dengan menyimak dan mengisi rumpang yang kosong (cloze procedure), membaca teks Jazz Chants dalam bentuk audio visual, pemahaman makna kalimat dalam teks lagu, mengucapkan kalimat dan menceritakan kembali isi lagu. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah observasi dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1).adanya peningkatan jumlah mahasiswa yang aktif dalam pembelajaran, yaitu; kelas D3-BI-IB, dalam siklus I, pada pertemuan 1 berjumlah 12 orang atau sebesar 60% dan pertemuan 2 berjumlah 14 orang atau 70% dan siklus II, pada pertemuan I berjumlah 15 orang atau sebesar 75% dan pertemuan 2 berjumlah 18 orang atau 90%. Sedangkan kelas D3-BI-IB , dalam siklus I pada pertemuan I berjumlah 10 orang atau sebesar 50%, dan pertemuan 2 berjumlah 13 orang atau 65% dan siklus II, pertemuan I berjumlah 16 orang atau sebesar 80% dan pertemuan 2 berjumlah 17 orang atau sebesar 85%, dan (2) hasil prestasi belajar pada tes penguasaan I menunjukkan bahwa kelas D3-BI-IA jumlah mahasiswa yang tuntas 11 orang atau sebesar 55% dan kelas D3-BI-IB juga berjumlah 11 orang atau 55%. Data yang diperoleh dari hasil prestasi belajar pada Tes Penguasaan II, mahasiswa yang tuntas pada kelas D3-BI-IA berjumlah 18 orang atau sebesar 90% dan kelas D3-BI-IB berjumlah 16 orang atau 80%.
The objective of this research was to describe; (1). The design of learning English strategy by using metacognitive for improving vocabulary mastery through musical intelligence, (2). the system of learning evaluation , and (3). The improvement of students' vocabulary learning achievement. The methodology of this research was qualitative research that involved students of Economic faculty who took English level II at language laboratory of Bandar Lampung University in period 2016/2017. The writer took the class by using random sampling from four classes of Economic students, that was 20 students. This metacognitive learning designed students' activities as listening to the song in audio and doing the task (cloze procedure), reading the text of song through audio visual and practising good pronunciations, understanding words and sentences' meanings, producing sentences in a good structure, retelling the content of song in written form and spoken form in a short dialogue. Here, students learnt vocabulary mastery while practising integrated skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) ang English components (vocabulary, structure and pronunciation). The instruments of research were observation and final test. The research findings indicated that; (1) applying the design of metacognitive learning strategy made an improvement of active students in learning activities about 18 students or 90%, (2). The learning evaluation used Simpel PAS (Sistem Pengelolaan Program Analisis Soal). In the first test, the validity was 0,2 (low), the test reliability was was 0,59 (moderate), the level of difficulty was 0,54(moderate) and the discrimination power was 0,36 (moderate). In the second test, the test validity was 0,41 (moderate), the test reliability was 0,78 (high), the level of difficulty was 0,68 (moderate) and the discrimination power was 0,36 (moderate), (3). the achievement of vocabulary mastery in the first test, students who passed the test was 12 students or 60%. The second test, students who passed the test were 16 students or 80%. So, there was an improvement of students' vocabulary learning achievement. This findings indicated that this learninng strategy design can improve students' learning in voabulary mastery effectively. Along with the number of deaths among health workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, violence against health workers also often occurs. This shows that there is a need for an analysis related to legal protection for health workers. The problems that will be discussed in this research are: What are the legal provisions related to protection for health workers during the COVID-19 pandemic? And what about legal protection for health workers who experience violence The research method uses a normative juridical approach with qualitative analysis. The results of the study indicate that legal protection is an effort to maintain the rights of individuals or groups that can be fulfilled from strong or powerful parties such as the government or businessmen and other parties for the creation of security and public order. Legal protection for health workers is regulated in Article 57 of Law no. 36 of 2014 concerning Health Workers. Meanwhile, health workers who have been attacked have been protected and regulated in Articles 170 and 351 of the Criminal Code.
