A method for direct beam synthesis in linear pulsed arrays of isotropic transmitters has been presented. By using the discrete Radon transform (DRT) and its inverse (IDRT), a known Radon transform framework has been adapted for gaining insight into a noniterative beamforming method. Theoretical analysis and numerical modeling, which validate this method, were conducted.Index Terms-Antenna arrays, discrete Radon transform (DRT), inverse discrete Radon transform (IDRT), pulsed beam, ultrawideband (UWB) radiation.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
