The numerical solution of Green's function for the potential in 2-D arbitrary inhomogeneous media, with axial symmetry has been given by use of e~cient hslf-analytical, halfnumerical hybrid method. Then the logging responses of v~rions kinds of the DC resistivity log with s.xi~ymmetric excitation have been obts~ned by using surface integral equation method to m~tch the boundary conditions on the electrodes of the logging sonde. Compm'ing the results with that obt~dned by other methods, one can see good precision and efficiency of the given method. Some applications of the numerical modeling have been also discussed.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
