The emergence of advanced technologies has brought new challenges and opportunities for all kinds of business organizations. In a technologically advanced era, innovation plays a dominant role for the successful operation of the commercial landscape. Therefore, the current study was conducted to investigate the impact of network capabilities (NC) and frugal innovation (FI) on innovation performance (IP). Furthermore, the mediating role of FI and moderating role of innovation strategies has also been tested on the link between NC and IP. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) registered with small and medium enterprises development authorities (SMEDA) were approached for the completion of the current study. Only 509 owner/managers agreed to participate. A quantitative research design was employed for the current study. During the two–three months process of data collection only 387 complete responses were received from the SMEs working in Pakistan’s big cities. Correlation, regression and bootstrap methods were applied to test the study hypotheses. The findings revealed that NC positively affect FI and IP. Furthermore, the findings also confirmed the mediating effect of FI between NC and IP link. The performance of SMEs working in emerging economies is largely based on their innovative activities. In this dynamic scenario SMEs’ survival is attached to continuous IP in their products and services.
The South African government implemented different legislative mechanisms in an attempt to address gender equality in the workplace, discrimination, and empowering women. To review whether there has been any progress after implementing these legislative mechanisms, this paper empirically analyzes the advancement of gender equality in the South African workplace as of 2020. It also provides an overview of different legislative mechanisms implemented by the government of South Africa as an endeavor to achieve gender equality in the workplace and equal opportunities for all regardless of gender. The main objective of this paper is to review gender equality progress in the South African workplace and a qualitative research method has been used to analyze different gender inequalities. Lastly, the paper provides an overview of gender equality analysis in different occupational levels in the South African workplace. The research shows that regardless of the South African government’s different legislative mechanisms to address gender equality, progress is still gloomy as discrimination against women in the workplace continues and the men remain dominant. The data analyses conclude that progress in addressing gender equality has been inert, delaying equal opportunities for all South Africans.
The survival of an organization in the contemporary competitive and dynamic global business environment is associated with its creative workforce. This study explores the impact of transformational leadership (TL) and employee adaptiveness on workforce creativity. The mediating role of employee adaptiveness and the moderating role of knowledge sharing has also been tested. A simple random sampling technique was used to collect data from the 561 employees working in three star and five star hotels. Statistical techniques such as correlation and hierarchical regressions were used for testing hypotheses. To test the mediation effect, we used the statistical procedure suggested by Preacher and Hayes. The results revealed that employee creativity is initiated through TL in hotels and TL positively affects employee adaptiveness. The results of the mediating analysis confirmed the mediating role of employee adaptiveness between TL and creativity link in the context of hotel industry operating in developing nations. Moreover, the findings also revealed that knowledge sharing plays key role for TL and employee adaptiveness links. In this study, quantitative research design was utilized, and the cross-sectional method was used for data collection. Future research designs can be based on both quantitative and current qualitative analyses. The current model can be enriched using factors such as knowledge management systems, organizational structures, and digital platforms in the future.
The continuous worsening environmental pollution and rapid depletion of natural resources exerts pressures on the economies to adopt circular economy principles in order to improve and protect the natural environment. Given the importance to humanity and social responsibility, this study examines how CETP is achieved through zero waste practices and IP. Zero waste practices are also tested as a mediator between IP and CETP. Furthermore, we also tested the moderating role of enviropreneurship on the relationship between zero waste practices and CETP. Data were collected from 273 front-line managers of manufacturing concerns and analyzed through SPSS 25.0 and SEM. Results proved that IP plays an essential role in explaining CETP and zero waste practices. Zero waste practices directly affectCETP, and also act as a mediator between IP and CETP.
The current study aims to explore how different owners and investors use digitalcrowdfunding platforms for advertisement and selection of different projects. This connection enhances the number of effective projects and attracts the attention of various entrepreneurs for investment. This research examines the direct impact of the crowdfunding digital-platform on crowdfunding performance as well as the role of the social capital as a mediating variable and innovative performance as a moderating variable. A quantitative approach was used for data collection and analysis. The findings show that digitalcrowdfunding platforms can be predicted through crowdfunding performance. The outcomes show that innovative performance strengthens the relationship between crowdfunding digitalplatforms and crowdfunding performance. This research reveals how fundraisers can improve crowdfunding performance through crowdfunding digitalplatforms, social capital, and innovative performance. Social capital plays a critical role in the enhancement of crowdfunding performance.
