O objetivo deste estudo tem por base revelar os impactos da pandemia da COVID-19 na gestação. O artigo adotou o modelo de revisão sistemática, utilizando as bases de dados SciELO, PubMed e Google Acadêmico, por meio dos descritores “Coronavírus” e “Gravidez”. Foram selecionados vinte artigos completos, publicados a partir de 2020 até o presente momento. Percebeu-se que a gravidez é um estado imunológico único, no qual ocorrem modificações fisiológicas e mecânicas na interface materno-fetal, o que faz com que as gestantes sejam mais suscetíveis à infecções virais. Assim, com a pandemia da COVID-19, embora os estudos não demonstrem que mulheres grávidas apresentem maior deterioração do quadro clínico quando comparadas à população geral, observou-se modificações que podem implicar em complicações gestacionais, como pré-eclâmpsia, prematuridade, ruptura precoce de membrana e morte perinatal. Dessa forma, é importante a atenção à esse grupo, com enfoque aos sinais de alarme para casos de acometimento moderado a grave, com fornecimento de suporte clínico, através da internação em isolamento, de nutrição adequada, de fornecimento de oxigênio suplementar (se necessário), da observação da ingestão de líquidos e de eletrólitos, bem como a monitorização de sinais vitais de mãe e feto. Ademais, a realização do pré-natal, intraparto e pós-parto não deve ser exclusa, mas ajustada. Em situações de suspeita ou infecção confirmada, recomenda-se que agendamentos de consultas e procedimentos sejam postergados em no mínimo 7 dias, até 14 dias; e a telemedicina é uma opção para priorizar a saúde das gestantes e o isolamento social.
O objetivo deste estudo tem por base demonstrar os efeitos benéficos da prática regular de exercícios físicos frente à pandemia da COVID-19. O artigo adotou o modelo de revisão de literatura, utilizando as bases de dados PUBMED e Google Scholar, por meio dos descritores “Coronavirus Infections”; “Exercise” e “Physical Condition”. Foram selecionados 20 artigos completos, em inglês e português, publicados a partir de 2019 até o presente momento. Percebeu-se que, com o isolamento social, a população tornou-se mais sedentária e adotou hábitos de vida menos saudáveis, entretanto, notou-se que imunidades inatas e adaptativas são afetadas positivamente pelo exercício físico, conferindo maior proteção contra infecções, inclusive as virais, como o Coronavírus. A estimulação da função das células imunológicas – acarretadas pela prática de exercícios físicos regulares – neutraliza a ansiedade e a depressão, aumenta a elasticidade e força pulmonar e, ainda minimiza os fatores de risco frente ao vírus. Dessa forma, conclui-se que a atividade física é um aliado à prevenção contra contaminação pela SARS-CoV-2, bem como pode prevenir o avanço da doença para formas graves de acometimento.
A diabetes mellitus tipo 2 (DM2) é uma síndrome heterogênea que resulta de deficiência na secreção de insulina pelas células beta do pâncreas ou de hiperglicemia por aumento da resistência à insulina nos tecidos periféricos. Os principais exames de controle glicêmico são a hemoglobina glicada (HbA1c) e glicemia basal, peso corporal e níveis de lipídios séricos (colesterol total e triglicerídeos). Publicações mostram que a intervenção da dieta low carb (DLC) melhorou esses parâmetros de controle glicêmico. O objetivo desta revisão sistemática foi analisar como a DLC pode trazer benefícios para o tratamento de pacientes diabéticos do tipo 2. Foram utilizados artigos publicados na base de dados Scielo, Pubmed, Sociedade Brasileira de Diabetes e Diretrizes da Sociedade Brasileira de Diabetes. Incluiu-se os estudos que consideravam a DLC em pacientes com diabetes tipo 2 e os efeitos dessa dieta em relação ao controle da glicemia glicada, peso e níveis de lipídeos séricos. A meta-análise é a primeira a avaliar a eficácia da DLC no manejo da diabetes tipo 2. Nove RCTs com 734 participantes foram incluídos na análise. Os achados dessa metanálise sugerem que a intervenção da LCD teve um efeito positivo na HbA1c, triglicerídeos e concentração de HDL-c. Em conclusão, esse tipo de dieta tem efeito benéfico na melhora da HbA1c, o que sugere que essa pode ser efetiva para o manejo da diabetes tipo 2. Além disso, a intervenção com essa dieta pode ser benéfica em fatores de risco para o desenvolvimento de doenças cardiovasculares.
