El presente artículo tiene como objetivo el análisis de las experiencias de propiedad en los encierros comunitarios ganaderos de la provincia de Santiago del Estero (Argentina), donde persisten explotaciones indivisas sin límites marcados, heredadas de los campos comuneros decimonónicos, que parten de una clara matriz comunal. A partir de un estudio cualitativo de estas experiencias, interpretadas desde un enfoque crítico-interdisciplinar, mostraremos cómo microrrelatos de propiedades alternativas del tipo de los encierros comunitarios ganaderos desmontan el andamiaje de la teoría (universal) de la propiedad liberal absoluta e individual, dando paso a una teoría plural de las propiedades, incluso repensando a la misma en términos de “derecho a la tierra”.
