El objetivo del presente artículo, centrado en los relatos autobiográficos acerca de la incompetencia motriz aprendida de un maestro novel especialista en Educación Física, es ilustrar el modo en que tales relatos pueden contribuir a la autoformación permanente de un profesor al facilitar la toma de conciencia sobre los procesos mediante los que la educación física recrea rasgos de la identidad tan importantes como los sentimientos de incompetencia motriz y de alienación del propio cuerpo. La conclusión a la que se llega es un tanto ambigua: por un lado, se indica que, gracias a dicho proceso reflexivo, el docente novel se cuestiona y transforma el enfoque de la asignatura que imparte. Por otro, sin embargo, se muestra que no es capaz de desembarazarse por completo de los modelos y de la cultura hegemónicos a los cuales, paradójicamente, trata de aproximarse y encarnar.
El objetivo del trabajo es ofrecer unas claves para el diseño de propuestas educativas intergeneracionales. Durante 8 ediciones consecutivas hemos desarrollado una “actividad intergeneracional de orientación deportiva” y hemos recogido datos a partir de la observación participante y de entrevistas abiertas. Entre los resultados obtenidos cabe mencionar la existencia de muchas resistencias y dificultades a la hora de relacionarse entre generaciones; la inclinación a reunirse entre iguales y en familia; la tendencia a acabar realizando actividades con sesgo gerontológico; la constatación de que no todas las relaciones intergeneracionales son ideales; la conveniencia de que los participantes sean conscientes de las intenciones de la educadora; y, en fin, que relacionarse inter-generacionalmente es algo más complejo que juntar a personas de diferentes edades. A partir de estos datos, ofrecemos doce claves a tener en cuenta a la hora de planificar, desarrollar y evaluar actividades educativas que nos permitan construir una sociedad para todas las edades.
A través de un estudio de caso, se indaga en las tensiones detectadas en el diseño y gestión de una comunidad de práctica online de profesorado de Educación Física. El marco conceptual usado en la discusión es el “Aprendizaje Expandido” (Engreström). Se constata un modelo de cinco fases. En la fase 1, las tensiones se dan entre las ideas de los propios diseñadores; en la fase 2, entre las ideas y las posibilidades tecnológicas; en la fase 3, las tensiones surgen entre las ideas de los desarrolladores, las prácticas y las necesidades de los participantes; en la fase 4, continúa la tensión entre desarrolladores y prácticas, mediatizadas por la incorporación de nuevos gestores que provienen de la comunidad de práctica; y, finalmente, en la fase 5, los diseñadores y gestores van retirándose del primer plano de la plataforma y su ideas iniciales acaban disolviéndose entre las de la comunidad.
Se expone una información organizada sobre la formación inicial de los maestros deEducación Infantil en torno al área de Educación Física. En concreto, informamos de la situación de quince países del mundo (principalmente de Europa, América Central y América del Sur), explicada por un informante experto de cada una de esos estados a partir de una pregunta generadora común. No se hacen valoraciones ni análisis comparativos de los informes, simplemente se presentan respetando la idiosincrasia del original e identificando al autor del mismo.
Con objeto de conocer cómo se viven los procesos de envejecimiento en nuestra sociedad, se llevó a cabo una investigación cualitativa basada, principalmente, en entrevistas abiertas a personas mayores de diferentes edades. Presentamos, en esta ocasión, algunas de las evidencias científicas del trabajo: acercarse a este colectivo es una tarea ardua porque ni siquiera es fácil encontrar un nombre apropiado con el que denominarlo y que sea aceptado por todos; se llame como se llame a este proceso o etapa vital, siempre resulta ser algo negativo y así lo ven nuestro interlocutores; nadie quiere pertenecer, ni dice sentirse parte de este colectivo, en otras palabras, en sus explicaciones, los viejos son, casi siempre, “los otros”; y la cultura corporal hegemónica (e. g., el ideal de la juventud) en nuestro contexto socio-cultural influye directamente en la forma de experimentar el proceso de convertirse en personas mayores, de ahí la necesidad de comprenderlo para reflexionar sobre el rol que desempeñamos los profesionales de la educación en este sentido.
