The term “Ravenna papyri” is used to refer to around 50 surviving documents, most of them fragmentary, dating to the period 455–700, as primarily known from the modern edition of the Swedish scholar Jan‐Olof Tjäder (published 1955–82), though not all papyri relate to Ravenna: Tjader included labels for saints' relics and other fragments from Rome and elsewhere.
