The phase-equilibria behavior of the binary mixture CO2n-eicosane was studied for vapor-liquid, solid-liquidvapor, and liquid-liquid-vapor systems. The ternary mixture C02-n-decane-n-eicosane was studied for the liquid-liquid-vapor system in the temperature range of 29-33°C, and CÜ2-free selectivities between the liquid phases are presented. Liquid CO2 demonstrated a marked tendency toward selectivity which suggests possible separational design applications.
