Latar Belakang: Diabetes melitus merupakan penyakit yang bisa bersifat kronis dimana diabetes melitus tersebut disebabkan oleh produksi insulin yang berlebihan menyebabkan kadar gula dalam darah mengalami peningkatan sehingga terjadi kelainan sekresi insulin dalam tubuh. Tujuan: Mengetahui pengaruh pemberian jus tomat terhadap kadar gula darah pada penderita diabetes melitus.Metode: Desain dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen. Rancangan penelitian quasi-experimental yang dilakukan dengan pretest-posttest. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu Probability Sampling. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua pasien penderita diabetes melitus yang menjalani pengobatan di Puskesmas Tumbang Miri dengan jumlah sampel 21 responden. Hasil: Hasil penelitian pengaruh pemberian jus tomat terhadap kadar gula darah pada penderita diabetes melitus diperoleh menurut usia sebanyak 15 orang (71,4%), jenis kelamin sebanyak 13 orang (61,9%), kadar gula darah <200 mg/dl sebanyak 16 orang (76,2%)Jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini adalah 21 pasien. Setelah dilakuan uji Wilcoxon, didapatkan hasil bahwa ada pengaruh pemberian jus tomat terhadap kadar gula darah pada pasien diabetes melitus nilai (p₌0.000).Kesimpulan: Ada pengaruh pemberian jus tomat terhadap kadar gula darah pada penderita diabetes melitus.
Jejunoileal atresia is of familial and non-familial in origins and classified into four different types. We herein report a rare occurrence of type I jejunal atresia in identical twins who were presented with neonatal intestinal obstruction. This report points towards common etiology of atresia in our cases and factors more than vascular accident appear to be involved.
