The development of human resources is important because labor is an important asset, so maintaining competent human resources is important for hotel management. All things related to welfare, comfort in work life are known as Quality of Work Life (QWL). High QWL is achieved if employees get job satisfaction, both in participating in decision making, as well as in having opportunities to develop. The research objective was to analyze (1) the influence of Quality of Work Life on job satisfaction and work motivation, (2) the influence of job satisfaction and work motivation on employee performance (3) the influence of Quality of Work Life on employee performance mediated by job satisfaction and work motivation in star-rated hotels in the Tourism area of Ubud, Bali. The determination of respondents used was by proportional stratified random sampling method with a sample size of 240.The data analysis method used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results showed that (1) QWL had a positive and significant influence on job satisfaction and work motivation (2) Job satisfaction and work motivation had a positive and significant influence on employee performance (3) QWL had a positive and significant influence on employee performancewhich wasmediated by job satisfaction and work motivation. The findings of this study were as follows: satisfaction and work motivation acted as a moderator variable to strengthen the influence of QWL on employees' performance in star-rated hotels in the tourism area of Ubud.
Training is an effort to improve the skills, knowledge and performance of employees technically and can help employees to achieve certain skills and abilities in order to succeed in doing their jobs so that employees work according to existing operational standards of the company in order to improve employee performance. A complaint states that employee performance needs to be considered, so training is needed at the Holiday Inn Resort Bali Benoa. The purpose of this study was to determine the types of training at Holiday Inn Resort Bali Benoa and the effect of training on employee performance at Holiday Inn Resort Bali Benoa. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, questionnaires, documentation and literature studies. The questionnaire was distributed to 100 respondents who were Holiday Inn Resort Bali Benoa employees with a proportional random sampling technique. The analytical method is descriptive qualitative and quantitative descriptive which includes the Likert scale, validity test, reliability test, simple linear regression analysis, correlation analysis, analysis of determination and t-test. The results of this study explain that the types of training conducted at the Holiday Inn Resort Bali Benoa are in-house training, inviting outside trainers and education and training programs. The results also showed a positive and significant effect of training on the performance of Holiday Inn Resort Bali Benoa employees. Training contributed 61.5% to employee performance, while the remaining 38.5% was influenced by other factors. Keywords: Training, Employee Performance, Holiday Inn Resort Bali Benoa.
Bali undoubtedly faces the most severe impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic. As the new normal era comes, the Balinese starts visiting some tourist destinations. Social media postings about tourists' visit enjoying Kintamani's panorama have attracted other tourists to travel on the weekend or on the vacation. This research objective were to find out the role of social media in promoting tourist attractions in Kintamani, Bangli regency, Bali; and to investigate impacts of social media to revisit Kintamani. This research utilized quantitative approach of multiple regression analyses. Result of this research showed that the social media were found to be effective in triggering interest of visitation during COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, easiness, trust, and information quality variables simultanously cause positive impacts and significantly (53.9%) impacts on interest to revisit Kintamani. This research contributed to the businessmen in utilizing social media to promote and sell their tourism products during the pandemic era.
Abstrak Suatu perusahaan tidak dapat dipisahkan dengan masyarakat sebagai lingkungan eksternalnya. Eksistensi perusahaan bergantung dari hubungan timbal balik antara perusahaan dengan masyarakat. Perusahaan dan masyarakat adalah pasangan hidup yang saling memberi dan membutuhkan. Kontribusi dan harmonisasi keduanya akan menentukan keberhasilan pembangunan bangsa. Adanya keselarasan antara keuntungan yang diperoleh perusahaan dengan pemberian kontribusi secara langsung kepada masyarakat dan lingkungannya merupakan mekanisme check & balances antara pihak perusahaan dengan masyarakat. Dengan kata lain Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) juga dipandang sebagai tolok ukur untuk reputasi suatu perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi serta persepsi masyarakat Desa Munduk terhadap Corporate Social Responsibilty. Jenis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah observasi, wawancara terstruktur, kuesioner, dan studi kepustakaan. Teknik penentuan informan adalah purposive sampling. Sampel yang digunakan adalah 98 responden dengan teknik penentuan sampel digunakan adalah accidental sampling. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif yang ditunjang dengan skala likert. Program CSR yang dilakukan oleh Puri Lumbung Cottages yaitu kepada masyarakat sekitar Desa Munduk sudah dilaksanakan dengan baik. Program CSR berupa program kelas menari, kursus massage, cooking class, perpustakaan desa, konservasi air, pembagian bibit kopi, serta natural and conservation activity. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi masyarakat terhadap implementasi CSR Puri Lumbung Cottages berdasarkan kuesioner yang disebarkan ke 98 responden masyarakat Desa Munduk mendapatkan skor penilaian akhir dengan rata-rata skor penilaian 3 dengan kategori sikap “baik”. Karyawan merupakan sumber daya manusia sebagai pelaku yang menunjang tercapainya tujuan. Sumber daya manusia dikatakan produktif apabila dapat menyelesaikan tugas dan tanggung jawab tepat waktu. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi produktivitas adalah motivasi kerja. Penelitian ini memilih lokasi di Komaneka Bisma dikarenakan persentase okupansi kamar di Komaneka Bisma pada tahun 2019 mengalami fluktuatif apabila dilihat dari bulan februari sampai mei di tahun 2019 dibandingkan dengan tahun 2018. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi kerja terhadap produktivitas karyawan dan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar motivasi kerja memberikan pengaruh terhadap produktivitas karyawan di Komaneka Resorts, Komaneka Bisma. Teknik penentuan sampel yang digunakan menggunakan sampling jenuh dengan 112 kuesioner kepada seluruh karyawan operasional di Komaneka Bisma Ubud. Pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, studi kepustakaan, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yaitu uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji normalitas, analisis regresi linier sederhana, hipotesis (uji t), dan koefisien determinasi dengan menggunakan bantuan SPSS for Windows versi 23.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variabel motivasi kerja secara parsial mempengaruhi produktivitas karyawan di Komaneka Bisma Ubud. Hasil uji determinasi menunjukkan bahwa nilai R2 sebesar 46% variabel motivasi kerja. Uji t pada variabel motivasi kerja (X), menunjukan bahwa nilai t-hitung dengan nilai 9,688 lebih besar daripada t-tabel dengan nilai 1.981 serta nilai signifikansi variabel X sebesar 0,000 lebih kecil daripada nilai signifikansi alpha sebesar 0,025, bahwa hipotesis H0 ditolak dan variabel motivasi kerja (X) memiliki pengaruh positif yang signifikan terhadap produktivitas karyawan dan layak menjadi variabel penentu produktivitas karyawan. Hasil uji koefisien determinasi menunjukkan bahwa nilai R2 sebesar 46% variabel motivasi kerja.
