This study aims to improve the cognitive abilities of early childhood through a game-based science thematic approach. The study was conducted on Pradnyandari III TK Kerobokan group B (aged 5-6 years) children in semester 2 of the school year 2017/2018. This type of research is classroom action research with a procedure consisting of four stages, namely: planning, action taking, development (observation), and reflection. This research was conducted in two cycles. The data collection method used is the observation method. Data on increasing children's cognitive abilities were analyzed descriptively. The results presented in the implementation of this study were an increase in cognitive abilities of early childhood, after following the learning process with a game-based science thematic approach. In the initial observation, the number of completeness was 37.5%. The increase incompleteness of children's cognitive abilities occurred in the first cycle, to 70.83% and again increased in the second cycle to 91.67%. So it can be concluded that the application of a thematic-based science thematic approach can improve the cognitive abilities of early childhood
Pandemi Covid-19 membuat proses belajar mengajar tidak dapat berjalan dengan semestinya. Aktivitas yang melibatkan banyak orang tidak dilaksanakan guna mencegah penyebaran virus Covid-19. Hal ini berdampak kepada proses belajar mengajar di TK Negeri Kintamani yang berlokasi di Jalan Raya Kintamani, Desa Kintamani Kecamatan Kintamani Kabupaten Bangli, Provinsi Bali. Selama belajar dari rumah (BDR) guru mengalami kesulitan dalam memberikan materi pembelajaran. Guru hanya mampu mengirim tugas yang akan dikerjakan oleh anak-anak melalui aplikasi whatsapp group tanpa dilengkapi video pembelajaran yang dapat di terima dan pelajari anak dirumah. Kurangnya pengetahuan guru akan cara pembuatan pembelajaran dalam format video pembelajaran menjadi dasar pemikiran mengapa PKM Prodi ini dilakuan. Subjek dari PKM ini adalah guru-guru di TK Negeri Kintamani. Metode yang digunakan dalam PKM ini adalah pendampingan pembuatan video pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan dengan menerapkan protokol kesehatan. Tujuan dari PKM Prodi ini adalah untuk melatih dan mendampingi guru-guru TK dalam membuat video pembelajaran mulai dari proses pengambilan gambar, editing, hingga unggah di kanal YouTube sekolah agar dapat di share dan dipelajari oleh siswa. Hasil dari evaluasi kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan ini adalah guru-guru mampu membuat video pembelajaran dan mengunggahnya di kanal YouTube sekolah. Dengan demikian, guru tidak lagi terkendala saat pelaksanaan proses belajar mengajar meskipun siswa belajar dari rumah (BDR). Kata Kunci : pelatihan, video pembelajaran, taman kanak-kanak
ABSTRAKAlat Peraga/Permainan Edukatif (APE) bagi anak usia dini memegang peranan penting sebagai media stimulasi, pembelajaran dan permainan, sedangkan bagi guru merupakan sarana yang membantu dalam penyampaian pembelajaran. Keterbatasan pengadaan atau penggunaan APE lebih dikarenakan ketidakmampuan guru dalam memanfaatkan secara optimal APE yang sudah ada, sedangkan keterbatasan pengadaannya disebabkan oleh keengganan untuk membuat sendiri. Diperlukan sedikit kreativitas dari guru PAUD untuk dapat membuat APE sendiri, karena banyak bahan bahkan bahan bekas dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif pembuatan APE. Maka Program Studi PG-PAUD yang landasan ilmunya dalam bidang pendidikan, mengabdikan potensi dan kapasitasnya di tengah masyarakat, secara khusus pada lembaga Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini dengan sasaran utama pendidik dan anak usia dini melalui program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat memberi pelatihan pengetahuan dan keterampilan membuat APE (Alat Peraga Edukatif) dan (APE) Alat Permainan Edukatif yang kreatif sesuai dengan usia anak, materi dan tujuan pembelajaran.Kata kunci: Alat Peraga Edukatif (APE), Pembelajaran, Anak Usia DiniABSTRACTEducational Teaching Aids (APE) for early childhood plays an important role as a medium for stimulation, learning and games, while for teachers is a tool that helps in the delivery of learning. The limitations of procurement or use of APE are more due to the inability of teachers to make optimal use of the existing APE, while the limitations of procurement are caused by reluctance to make their own. A little creativity is needed from PAUD teachers to be able to make APE itself, because many ingredients and even used materials can be used as an alternative to making APE. So the PG-PAUD Study Program, whose foundation is in the field of education, devotes its potential and capacity in the community, specifically to Early Childhood Education institutions with the main goal of educators and early childhood through the Community Service program providing training in knowledge and skills to make APE (Educational Teaching Aids) and (APE) Creative Educational Game Tools according to the age of the child, material and learning objectives.Keywords: Educational Teaching Aids (APE), Learning, Early Childhood
Abstract-Indeed early childhood is ready to learn many things including science. Great curiosity in children is a potential that can be exploited to introduce various concepts of science through exploration, observation and experimentation in the context of play. Children love to explore the surroundings with their senses, investigate objects, and make experiments in their daily activities, including playing. Science is a science based on findings through investigations and experiments. So it is possible to introduce science to children through project activities. Project-based science is a very interesting activity for children, because through this activity various abilities of children can be developed including the ability of children's language. Investigation activities develop the child's ability to present ideas, make inquiries, make notes, and propose arguments. Exploration activities develop the child's ability to discover new concepts, new words and new meanings. The experimental activity develops the child's ability to understand the stages of activity and the various rules. Group activities train children to communicate with peers, discuss and present their work.
