One of the principle in pre-school education is play-based learning. This research utilizes technology to develop computer games based media learning for preschoolers. We used Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) to develop this application. There are six stages in this sistem development method; these six steps include concept, design, material collecting, assembly, testing, and distribution. These media have five features using Indonesian language, -namely, riddles games, simple counting games, drawing menu, words construct game and coloring menu. This media learning game was implemented to fifteen preschool students with an age range between 3-5 years with their teacher accompaniment. The result showed that this application could be used as an alternative media learning for the student and the teacher of preschool to develop the children creativity and competencies.
This research aimed to make the learning design possible for the development of motor cycle and the coordination of the eyes, hands, brain of the child and carry out the whole plan with the best. Through cooperative learning methods can improve the fine motor skills of children from an average result of fine motor skills of children in collaborative activities in groups. into a medium used in a game with the aim that children can train their fine motor skills. Through this game children are invited to be able to develop creativity through collaborative activities and can develop fine motor skills through these learning activities. This study uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach according to the Kemmis model and MC Taggart. According to Kemmis and Mc Taggart (in Yunus, 2009: 105) describe action research as a set that aims to improve and evaluate decisions and actions aimed at implementing these actions. The discussion of the results of the study was directed at the implementation of the research cycle I and cycle II by following the 4 stages of research, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. Thus the learning achievement of children is 82% of the target of 80% who are successful, so this study in class II action research was declared successful and no longer needed to be continued in the next cycle. Finally, It can be conclude that Cooperative learning can add insight to the teacher in choosing the right learning model to be applied in class according to the objectives of each learning that will be carried out.Keywords: Application; Cooperative Learning Models; Children; Kindergarten
Pendidikan untuk anak usia dini memegang peranan sangat penting pada pembentukan generasi penerus bangsa Indonesia di masa depan. Anak-anak usia dini merupakan bagian dari sumber daya manusia yang memerlukan penanganan yang serius dan berkelanjutan oleh semua pihak yang mempunyai tanggung jawab bersama pada pembentukan generasi penerus yang berkualitas. Untuk memastikan keberhasilan mendapatkan generasi penerus yang berkualitas ini maka diperlukan tindakan-tindakan nyata oleh pihak yang bergerak aktif dalam dunia pendidikan. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah: Publikasi ilmiah di jurnal/prosiding, Pemahaman dalam pengembangan karakter anak PAUD dan Model parenting dalam pengembangan karakter anak PAUD, menggunakan metode, pembimbingan sosialisasi dan dihasilkan bahwa Terselenggaranya Terselenggaranya sosialisasi program dengan pihak terkait dan terciptanya metode pengembangan karakter bagi anak PAUD, peserta dalam mengikuti pelatihan sangat antusias mengikuti pembelajaran menyenangkan, mempraktikkan metode-metode permainan yang membantu pengembangan karakter anak serta mendampingi lembaga PAUD sebagai peserta training pengembangan karakter anak PAUD.
This study aims to determine whether using PowerPoint audio-visual media can improve children’s cognitive development in ECE (Early Childhood Education) in North Tomohon Sub-District, North Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. The research method used was collaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in ECE in North Tomohon Sub-District, and it was found that 1) Before using the PowerPoint audio-visual media, ECE in North Tomohon Sub-District still had difficulty doing the assigned tasks and answering teachers’ questions because the children cognitive was not stimulated well; 2) The use of PowerPoint audio-visual media can improve the child’s cognitive aspects because the learning activities were designed in an attractive, fun and not boring way. Through the use of PowerPoint audio-visual learning media, children’s cognitive can be stimulated well.
