Quality of life is associated with several factors, including personal living styles and working conditions. This article aims to investigate the factors associated with quality of life among small and medium enterprises (SME) workers in 4 countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), namely Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam. A total of 2014 workers from food and textile industries were asked to answer a questionnaire about their sociodemographic characteristics, working environment and conditions, and quality of life. Results from showed that lifestyle (ie, alcohol intake and exercising), working characteristics (ie, shift work, working hours, and working days) and workplace conditions were associated with SME workers' quality of life (ie, physical, psychological, social, and environmental domain). Among the 16 types of workplace conditions, "sitting on the chair" and "slippery floor" most affect their quality of life . It is important for these variables to be taken into account in promoting workers' well-being and quality of life.

In this current COVID-19 pandemic, the elderly (60 years and over) are more vulnerable populations to be infected and become victims. In a disaster cycle, the various parts are usually divided into three stages, consisting of the pre-impact stage, the trans-impact stage, and the post-impact stage. It is necessary to explain how to handle the COVID-19 disaster for the elderly at each step (explain the meaning of pre-case, case (pre-hospital and hospital), and post-case phases, respectively). This paper presents the handling of COVID-19 for elderly in pre-case, case, and post-case phases in six Asia-Pacific countries (Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Japan). The data and information come from COVID-19 official websites of each country, including information from World Health Organization (WHO), United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), mass media, and professional associations. The handling of COVID-19 in the pre-case phase has been done correctly for the elderly, especially in Indonesia, Japan, Thailand, and Singapore. In the case phase (pre-hospital and hospital), only Indonesia, Japan, and Thailand have followed special handling protocols for the elderly, particularly for those who have comorbidities and respiratory diseases. For the post-case phase, all countries have the same treatment protocol for all age groups, with none specific for the elderly.

18 19 42The house-(HI), container-(CI), Breteau (BI), and pupal (PI) indices were associated with relative 43 humidity (1-month lag, IRR HI =1.10 (95% CI 1.06, 1.13) per 1% increase), IRR CI =1.10 (95% CI 1.02, 44 1.19), IRR BI =1.17 (95% CI 1.14, 1.21), IRR PI =1.12 (95% CI 1.10, 1.14)). Vector indices were also 45 associated with precipitation (1-month lag) and to a lesser degree, hours of sun and mean 46 temperature. Ae. aegypti larval density was associated with not cleaning water storage containers 47 (RR=2.50, 95% CI 1.59, 3.66), not having access to municipal waste pick-up (RR=3.15, 95% 48 CI2.09, 4.75), disheveled clothes in the home (RR=1.85, 95% CI 1.24, 2.74) and season (RR[rainy 49 season]=3.10, 95% CI 2.18-4.48). The most productive containers were water storage containers 50 (relative pupal productivity 87%). Dengue hospitalization rates were associated with relative 51 humidity (2-month lag, IRR=1.11 (95% CI 1.06, 1.17) per 1% increase). Only the PI (1-month lag)52 was significantly associated with dengue hospitalization rates (IRR 1.04, 95% CI 1.00, 1.07). 53Mosquito avoidance behaviors were more frequent in the dry season (92.5% vs. 86.0% of 54 interviewees endorsed one or more forms of mosquito prevention, p<0.001). There was also less 55 use of larval elimination strategies (39.2% vs. 50.5%, p<0.001) during the rainy versus the dry 56 season. 57 58 Conclusion 59 Our study reveals a strong effect of relative humidity on vector indices and dengue hospitalization 60 rates. This may be due to the mosquito's vulnerability to desiccation, and the association warrants 61 further study. Our findings also demonstrate, however, that during the rainy season when mosquito 62 prevention is most needed, the use of fans, repellant coils and maintenance of water storage 63 containers is actually reduced. Objective: To determine the prevalence of hepatitis B virus (HBV) and hepatitis C virus (HCV) infections among beauticians and to identify occupational risk factors associated with the infections. Methods:The cross-sectional study of 247 randomly enrolled beauticians was conducted in Quy Nhon City, Viet Nam. Knowledge, perceptions, and practices towards occupational risk of HBV and HCV infections were evaluated using an anonymous questionnaire. Blood samples were tested for hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) and antibodies against HBV and HCV by chemiluminescent microparticle immunoassay. Viral genotyping by real time quantitative PCR was performed for those testing positives for HBsAg and anti-HCV antibodies.Results: The prevalence of HBV and HCV infections was 7.3% (18/247, 95% CI: 4.4-11.3) and 0%, respectively. Among HBsAg(+) subjects, 72.2% (13/18) were identified as being infected with HBV genotype B. Overall, 198/247 (80.2%) perceived that they are at risk of being infected by hepatitis through work. Nearly half of participants (43.3%) were not immune to HBV. Discussions:The prevalence of HBV and HCV infections among beauticians was comparable to the general population previously of Vietnam; no occupational risk factors associated with infections were found. This finding proposed that beauticians might not be a high-risk group for HBV and HCV infections. However, the study revealed a high proportion of persons susceptible to HBV infections suggesting that public health preventive strategies and vaccination targeting these professionals should be implemented.
