Mục tiêu: Xác định tỉ lệ, mức độ trầm trọng và một số yếu tố liên quan đến mòn ngót răng do acid (MNR) ở bệnh nhân trào ngược dạ dày thực quản (TNDD-TQ) tại bệnh viện Nguyễn Trãi Tp.HCM. Phương pháp: Nghiên cứu cắt ngang mô tả thực hiện trên bệnh nhân từ 18-70 tuổi được chẩn đoán TNDD-TQ (GerdQ ≥6) tại bệnh viện Nguyễn Trãi từ 11/2021 đến 6/2022. Khám đánh giá MNR bằng chỉ số BEWE bởi bác sĩ Răng Hàm Mặt. Đánh giá mức độ trầm trọng của MNR dựa vào tổng điểm BEWE, gồm 4 mức độ: không mòn (BEWE≤2), nhẹ (BEWE=3-8), vừa (BEWE=9-13) và nặng (BEWE ≥14). Phân tích dữ liệu bằng phép kiểm chi bình phương, kiểm định chính xác Fisher và mô hình hồi quy logistic, với p<0,05, KTC 95%. Kết quả: Mẫu nghiên cứu gồm 169 bệnh nhân TNDD-TQ (67,5% nữ) có tuổi trung bình 56,0 ± 10,6. Ghi nhận 78,1% bệnh nhân có biểu hiện MNR, trong đó 50% mức độ nhẹ, 42% vừa và 8% nặng. MNR phân bố nhiều nhất ở các răng sau cả hai hàm, răng cối lớn thứ nhất có tỉ lệ mòn nặng nhiều nhất (14-17%), (p<0,05). Người hưu trí có nguy cơ MNR cao gấp 4,4 lần so với công chức, viên chức và nhân viên văn phòng (OR=4,4, KTC95%: 1,1-19,0). Bệnh nhân có triệu chứng khó thở bị MNR cao hơn 3 lần so với không có khó thở (OR=3,0, KTC95%: 1,2-7,8). Kết luận: MNR là dấu chứng ngoài thực quản phổ biến trên bệnh nhân TNDD-TQ trong nghiên cứu này. Người bị TNDD-TQ cần được tư vấn khám răng, dự phòng MNR và can thiệp kịp thời, đặc biệt chú ý đến các răng sau ở cả hai hàm.
