RESUMO -o objetivo do trabalho foi exercitar os alunos de um curso de arquitetura nas diretrizes e critérios do planejamento paisagístico visando a um uso do solo que levasse em conta os dados ambientais, harmonizando a intervenção humana no meio ambiente numa aproximação ecológica. Contávamos com a área de uma fazenda próxima a Franca, Estado de São Paulo, da qual tínhamos a planta planialtimétrica e o levantamento aerofotogramétrico. Nessa área, queríamos localizar três usos distintos: comercial, industrial e residencial e ainda determinar áreas verdes de recreação e preservação. Primeiramente foi feito o reconhecimento fisiográfico com a elaboração dos mapas necessários. Sobrepondo as informações dos mapas, dados climáticos e informações sobre desenho urbano e clima, além de legislação, as diversas eQuipes de alunos chegaram a propostas de uso do solo. We reckoned with a farm site near the city of Franca in· the State of São Paulo on wich we had the planialtimetrical plan and aerial photography. We wished to locate these distinct uses in this site: commercial, industrial and residential ones, and furthermore to locate open spaces for· recreation and conservation. At first a physiographical reconnaissanee was done following by an elaboration of the necessary mapas. Combining maps information, climatic data, information about urban design and climate and also legislation, the various students teams presented proposals for the use of the land.
